I wonder if it's relevant, however as a guy whose English is far from perfect I edit my own posts a lot, sometimes hours later. And they end up in recent ones again, as if there's something new. It would be cool to have an option of minor edit. If edit is minor then minorly edited post is not considered updated, as a result - a thread isn't considered updated, and doesn't top the list of threads and isn't marked as "new". People's attention is not diverted to read again what they have already read, and those who like me edit a lot don't have to consider whether to correct English and drag attention again - or spare people's time and let it hang unreadable due to errors ^_^
Rules for a minor post can be any you see fit. For example - an edit can be considered minor if
* say, 90% of the text is the same
* no links are changed. Not a single one
* no embedded objects - pictures, tables, etc - have been changed
