Annoying things about RPing

I think, short answers and lack of details are common complaint. But there are other more specific turn-offs.

For example: insisting on playing some specific celebrity (photo attached), which you don't know. No plot, no idea, no personality of the character. Just I wan't the girl of my wet dreams inflated. Ugh.

Most annoying thing about rp's?

Idiots.

Here's probably something that I can bring up about my experiences: scheduling. Maybe this is more about time in general. When I have a good amount of free time and my mood is in the right place, it's nice to find someone who's readily available for roleplaying even if it's a total stranger. The only detracting factor is that sometimes no amount of scouring can guarantee finding someone with a matching set of interests as mine. Might as well write my own inflation literature in the time that takes.

Though when things do click, and information is exchanged because we can't afford to lose each other, I find that after that initial RP it's often difficult to get both people on at the same time. Online together, sure, but there's a body clock that isn't always on the same page -- and that's kind of the unfortunate, maybe frustrating thing about myself more than I consider in other people.

After a good long chat ends in me getting a "Sweet dreams~! See you tomorrow night, same time?" and I'd say "Haha, yeah, hopefully!" but think "Fuck...!" -- because how can I tell how I'll feel 20-24 hours from then? If I don't show up, I feel guilty, or I do and ask "can it wait?" Either way is like I'm throwing a full tool box of wrenches into the gears. Is it a question of whether I'm dedicated enough for RPing? Perhaps, but I just don't let my life revolve around the thought that "I have to be ready for my partner", because, face it, online relationships of any kind can fade much easier than ones in reality. Sad to say, but it's the truth.

I also hate planet sizes.

See this is why I don't use chats for rps lmao

You know, even picking the medium is a little debatable to me. In instant messaging, there's quicker feedback and a better chance of getting everything done in one sitting, but it sort of conflicts with a person like me. Being used to typing out semi-paragraphs for every message, I have to be wary about slowing things down and prolonging actions that shouldn't be, even though most people appreciate that level of detail. It's just under a gun to finish a session sometimes.

There's more of an opportunity to write more and be meticulous when sending RPs over inboxes and things. No expected time limit when it comes to receiving a message back often means that scenarios can go on for days though and both people wait for each other. Again, just seems to be a balance between pros and cons that I haven't struck yet.

Annoying thing about rpgs? Teamwork!

- GM. The guardian blocks your way: 'who dares to enter my palace!

- Player 1. I dash forward with my heliumtank!

 - P2: I sneak behind with my footpump!

- P3: umm and i.. I throw inflation grenade!

Dude, I'm cooler than the cool kids. I go to sleep at 11 pm and wake up at 9 am, if a balanced sleep schedule isn't hardcore then I don't know what is.

Typical P3, throwing an AoE weapon after everyone else moved into the area. Someone give that dork an initiative bonus.

Rping would be great if it weren't for all the other people.

You know, the thing about the annoying RPing kind of reminds me of the fact that TayvaRP is gonna close her Youtube channel because some idiots kept on pressuring her to make videos non-stop without giving her a break.

I'm normally a chat rper via Skype.

The one thing that pisses me off....are people that constantly utilize single words for a reply. When I mean constantly utilize, I mean for every fucking reply its: "Sure" or "Great" etc. Thats when I stop rping with them.

If they reply with one word sentences, then they're not worth keeping around

Well at that point, they aren't even sentences XD

I'm kay with RPs via Notes or email.  What I despise and loathe are:

1) 1-2 line responses.  Darn it, I don't expect a wall o' text, but I expect at least as ,uch effort as I put into it, back.

2) Only specific people/characters, especially since I'm not into manga and such.

My biggest peeve?

Unnecessary dominance or them taking control of my character or storyline.

The rp is going hella great, when suddenly:

"*your character does _______ *"

Suddenly the WHOLE STORYLINE is fucked.

Like, I really enjoy a structured rp. I once had a three month rp that created a whole universe based on fruit inflation, but I stopped because I was getting addicted to the platform I used and needed a break.

During that break, this guy would always, and I mean ALWAYS hound me for an rp I already did not like. Like he would use characters I knew nothing of, or settings I hated, and then when I finally got comfortable and was ready to shape my character to my muse he would pull that "*your character____*" second person rp bs.

Don't get me wrong, in the right format, like I assume d&d and various tabletop games it works, but in inflation rp, I can't stand it.

If I play the character, let ME personally control their story.

But of course, thats just my issue.

My biggest pet peeve is when a partner purposefully poofs on you before the KABOOM.

Probably not be a thing for people not into popping but I've had people setup a scene, get to the part where they're big and inflated, then leave on me before we get to the 'it's too much!' part.  I get that dc and rl happens but after awhile you can tell they're just rude balloons that don't want to pop.
