The clouds were gathering for a horrendous thunderstorm, and Joe and Mitch were just finishing their robbery of an electronics store. Taping their work with a stolen camcorder, they were interrupted when a familiar figure in blue flew down in front of them.

"Oh shit, it's Supergirl" exclaims Joe.

The Boss had broken out of prison and the entire police force (including detective Mord aka Rubber Maid) was following up every lead that may lead to his recapture. Mord was just checking in early one morning when Clancy called out “call on line 2 Mord. It sounds like one of your stool pigeons.” “Thanks Clancy” detective Mord replies as she crosses to her desk to pick up the phone. As soon as Mord picks up the phone, a hurried voice jabbers out at her. “Mord, this is Stu, don’t talk, just listen. I may not have much time. I’m at Ace bottling.

Detective Ronda Mord was on the night watch on the east side industrial part of town, when she spotted lights on in the Badyear rubber plant. The plant shuts down promptly at 6:00, and ordinarily is quiet as a tomb by 6:30. Investigating further, Detective Mord finds several cars illegally parked in a loading zone. She tries the side door, and finds it's been forced open. Confident that she can handle any problems herself, she does not call for backup.
