Story swap idea

I posted this on my DA but figured it may get an audience here too.

Every year for April Fool's various newspaper cartoonists swap comic strips with other cartoonists for the day. It's always interesting to see a familiar comic strip drawn using another cartoonist's interpretation.

That gave me the idea for starting a story swap group in the community. If there's enough interest, each person in the group would take a story written by another author in the group and rewrite it in their style. I know that even among my all-time favorite stories there is usually something here or there that I would change to suit my preferences.

The modified stories would use the same characters, basic story arc, and inflation method as the original, but pretty much everything else would be up for grabs (including the ending - want to add or subtract popping? Go for it).
