Vanity, Thy Name is Helium

Claire sighed as she finished her latest painting, setting her brush down and rubbing her eyes. Her mind was in distress, the fear of not making the payment on this month's rent stressing the poor girl out beyond belief. Her paintings and photography usually made enough money for the basic needs, but this month her sales had been particularly slow. Claire got up from her stool, hastily putting on her coat and walking outside, a walk she hoped would reduce her stress a bit.

It was drizzling in London this evening, Claire rather liking the light rain and dreary atmosphere. After walking down several blocks, she decided to enter one of the cities many department stores. She was greeted by a sight that was most unwelcome, a crowd of reporters were surrounding someone, Claire barging her way through the crowd to look. There stood Sarah Macbeth, Britain's premiere model, basking in the torrent of flashes from the cameras. Sarah had the type of body that would drop jaws and pitch tents at the same time, not a man in the world could refrain from staring if she was present, and she annoyed Claire a great deal. You couldn't walk but fifty feet in London without seeing a billboard, or poster with the woman on it. Today was a momentous day for Ms. Macbeth, as she was launching a line of scanty...and ridiculously expensive clothing.

"Yes, it's true ladies and gentlemen. The Macbeth line of fashion will go on sale today, and unlike Shakespeare's play, this act won't go stale and boring!" Sarah announced to the reporters, Claire's eyes narrowing. She LOVED Shakespeare, and that comment was the last straw. After the reporters had cleared out for the most part, Claire approached Ms. Macbeth, acting like a die hard fan. "Oh, Ms. Macbeth!" She called to her, Sarah brushing hair out of her face and approaching her. "Oh, you must be a fan! What do you want me to sign?" She asked, Claire's eye twitching a little. " I was wondering if you'd be interested in a photo shoot to promote your new clothing line. It'd be free, and I'd provide all of the equipment!" She asked, trying very hard to sound excited, Sarah thinking for a moment. She turned to talk to her agent, the man nodding after a minute or so, definitely not passing up free advertisement. "Absolutely! When will we start?" Ms. Macbeth asked, Claire hiding a sly smile. "We could use the Jubilee Gardens on the morrow before it opens. The row of trees right before the London Eye would make a lovely backdrop, wouldn't you agree?" Claire suggested, Sarah nodding. "That would be perfect! Around...6 a.m.?" The model asked, Claire agreeing. "That would be perfect...I do ask one favor however. Please come alone, I have a little hobby where after a shoot, I paint a portrait of the individual as a memento...I have difficulty painting if people are looking..." She kicks her foot shyly, looking away, Sarah just eating it up. "Oh, that's no problem at all...I could use a break from all of this attention!" She said, Claire smiling as they said their goodbyes, an idea already playing out in her head.

Claire jogged back to her apartment, calling her best friend Jennifer with an odd request. "So...why exactly do you want me to let you borrow a helium cannister again..." Jennifer asked as she dropped off the requested item at Claire's house. "Oh, I'm gonna try selling balloons to make sure I make the rent this month." Claire replied after a minute of thought, Jennifer shrugging and departing with a wave. "Just one balloon..." Claire spoke aloud after she shut the door, that sly grin appearing on her face again. "She's so full of herself...let's just see if I can make her body match her ego...". She thought as she slipped into her pajama's, turning in for the night.

The morning couldn't have come any faster, Claire almost leaping out of bed in excitement. She dressed in her best jeans and a tank top, loading her larger camera into her mini, as well as an easel and her paints, and of course, the helium tank. She drove to the gardens in question, Sarah there early...much to Claire's surprise. "Just in time Ms. Claire...can we get started? I have to make an appearance in two hours..." She taps her foot, Claire apologizing profusely, again acting the part as best as she can. She unloads everything, Sarah wearing a lovely black dress, her brown hair layed neatly and carefully down to her back. "Okay, we'll get the digitals out of the way first..." Claire instructs, Sarah going through a variety of poses, photo after photo being taken...some of the poses down right erotic. "Now...Ms. Macbeth...have you ever augmented your body before?" Claire asks, Sarah looking offended. "No, these are real! How dare you assume..." She's cut off. "I mean, I have a method of temporarily...increasing your size. It'll attract more eyes and sell more clothes...I assure you..." Claire adds, Sarah nervously laughing off her previous outburst. Claire drags out the helium tank, Sarah tilting her head puzzled. "Helium? Like what the blow balloons up with?" She asks, Claire nodding and explaining what will happen.

"You'll hold the hose in your mouth for a bit while the gas fills you out nicely...I'll naturally escape your body after a few minutes, don't worry....." Claire grins wickedly, her back turned as she reaches for the hose and hands it to her. Sarah nervously takes it. "Are you sure this is safe?" She asks, Claire reassuring her, the arrogant model sticking the nozzle into her mouth. Claire unhesitatingly turns the valve on slowly, Sarah's cheeks puffing up cutely as the gas begins to rush into her. "You'll feel a little light headed...but don't worry...." Claire spoke to her, Sarah's breasts miraculously starting to expand as the helium filled them, the top of her dress being tested as her tits actually making stretching noises. Claire watched, not believing her plan was working, Sarah closing her eyes as she groaned, her belly bulging slightly against the dress, as if rapidly going through the various levels of pregnancy. Before long, the model's body began to puff up all over, Claire increasing the flow of the gas, stifling a snicker as she witnessed her victims buttocks begin to fill out. Sarah was too lightheaded to realize what exactly was going on, Claire jogging forward as Ms. Macbeth became buoyant, starting to float up. She quickly drove a stake into the ground while holding the model down, tying fifty feet of rope to her ankle and than the other end to the stake. By now, Sarah's figure was that of a ridiculous hour glass, the dress remarkably putting up a good fight.

Claire had set up her easel, pulling the nozzle from the woman and letting her float up til the tether went tight. "Now, hold still Ms. Macbeth!" She said, Sarah glancing around nervously, retaining some mobility in her limbs. "I'm a balloon! This is unbelievable!" She squeaked out, her voice high pitched from the gas. Claire ignored her, painting a lovely portrait of her while the poor model swayed in the gentle breeze. After about an hour, she had finished and looked up at Sarah. "Can I come down now?" Sarah called down, Claire slowly pulling her down. "Sure..." She said, one hand reeling her in...the other reaching into her pocket and revealing two corks. Sarah was caught by complete surprise as Claire popped one into her mouth, her free hand disappearing, and after much effort in squeezing between Sarah's bloated ass cheeks, shoved one into her butt. Claire now stared Sarah in the eyes, the model utterly confused. "You're the type of girl that always made fun of me when I was in school...the kind that made fun of anybody that wasn't perfect in your eyes...I'm gonna act on their behalf, starting with you..." she said as she released Sarah again, waiting til she was about to make the line rigid again, pulling out a knife and slicing the rope at it's base.

Sarah fell victim to gravity now, the lighter-than-air gas making her float away into the morning sky, before the sleeping city had even awoken. Claire quickly loaded her gear back into her car, and drove home. "...That was actually fun...I need to do it more often..." she thought, returning home and cleaning the helium tank of evidence, humming a little tune after a job well done...

EPILOGUE

After weeks of searching, the London Police gave up their search for Sarah Macbeth. Claire had sold the painting of the ballooned Sarah, which brought her under scrutiny...for about a day before the police dismissed the possibility of Sarah having been inflated as pure poppycock, the sale ensuring that Claire made the month's rent...
