Inflation in older video games

I was going through some old games of mine and stumbled onto 2 bits of inflation I thought were kind of interesting. The first one is from the game King of the Monsters 2, a fun fighting game for the SNES and the Genesis. Anyway, in the both games there is a monster that goes by the name Sack Eyes (or Aqua Slug in the Genesis version) and he has an attack where he fires out bubbles and if they hit you your character will blimp up and float for a seconds. It's better in the Genesis version because theres more characters and the move inflates the target to a bigger size, plus you can play as Aqua Slug. Sure I wish there were some giant women in the game but hey, thought it was pretty interesting either way. The second comes from the game Batman Forever (yea..no comment). In the games training room mode you can play as a character called the Riddler Thug, he has a move where he fires out a bubble (Im seeing a pattern here) and just like the above, the target swells up and floats around for a few seconds. Yea, Im no fan of inflated Batman but the only girl character in the game Sugar..or was it Spice? anyway she looks good inflated. Shame there was no Batgirl or Catwoman...but a man can dream right? Anyway, thought those were some interesting bits.

aw dude, yea i remember seeing some inflation in that old king of the monsters 2 game on gensis lol. I had no clue about the inflation part in batman forever...wanna tell me a bit more on that? lol I'll see if i can get some screen caps for it...

Well basically in Batman Forever for the SNES you can do this like training mode thing. The Riddler Thug has this move (you can probably get how to do it off of GameFAQS or something, I could never do it). Basically the way I would see it was to play as Sugar N' Spice and fight two of the Riddler Thugs, I think around when their levels get to 9 (like each time you beat them both) theyll start doing the move. Screencaps would be pretty cool to see!

damn that sounds pretty interesting. I tried rumaging around for screen caps but sadly I couldnt find any :( I wanna see that so bad!

I just tested Batman Forever on an amulator. The bubble just hits you as any projectile attack. It causes damage, and sends you back flying.

...Or you could try playing -as- the Riddler Thug versus Sugar/Spice. I think the button combo is quarter-circle-forward, then B. I usually just use a key combination for it.

the bubble gun inflation thing only works in versus mode. if you do it in the actual game mode, you just fly backwards from damage.

your best bet is doing it as the riddler thug in 2 player mode, so the other character doesn't move :P

i've manged to get a screen shot. its a pretty nice inflation (i've only got her when shes already inflated, not her inflating or deflating) i'm putting it in the screen capture album.

Just tried that move in Batman Forever. Pretty snazzy. I wish there were more female characters though... I'm certain you could play as Sugar as well as Spice though (she wore a white coat, was blonde and had white skin)... It wasn't the Genesis version, since that doesn't even have any inflation in it =(

And, even though I'm not really into that sorta stuff, some of the male inflations in it aren't too bad either.

Zepylin

Sorry for the double post, but I kinda consider this semi-important enough.

I've made a few animated gifs of the move when used on all the different characters. The only one missing is the Clown, whose isn't very good.

Spice bloated

A thug

Another thug

Riddler Thug (who usually does the inflating...)

Robin

Inmate (probably the worst of the ones I've made)

Batman

Riddler

Oh, and just as an added extra, here's some breast expansion from Darkstalkers 3 when you use a special move of Jedah's on Lilith (it only does this to her unfortunately, so no Morrigan BE I'm afraid)

Lilith getting pumped with blood

Wheee... I feel dumb :P
Interesting that they made it available only in versus mode...

Yeah, Jedah's blood pump move is a famous one. Lilith attack is the cool one. I only remember that Felicia has her tail inflated(!) and BB.Hood has her cheecks inflated.

I can't tell you my disappointment when Morrigan only got the bat wings on her head, of all things, inflated. Man, what a let-down... The only other game with inflation I can think of is The Lost Vikings, and little bearded men probably aren't too appealing to many either XP

Great inflation. Just the kind I like

In Lemmings 2: The Tribes, when playing with the clowns, using the bomber on them caused them to inflate, float up and then pop.

hmmm that sounds real interesting lol

Does anybody have sceencaps or video-clips of the Vampire in Conker: Live And Reloaded?

I rented the game with the intention of seeing the inflation scenes, but I got stuck (Long story short: I have an irrational fear of underwater levels ever since Mario 64 and it's gaint eel, hence the being stuck) and can't see this last one, could sombody lend me a hand?

I could help, but I don't remember any inflation in that game. Also, I am pretty sure you can put in level codes you can find online.

You can play the game on vizzed. You need a plugin for it and an account to play it more than the limited amount it gives you per day, but it works. I recomend you play the snes version. I know from experience the inflation works on it. The controls are: Down Key (Duck), Right Key (foward), and Z Key in that order.

I know you're new to the scene and everything but still, don't necrobump 5+ year old threads. That kind of behavior gets frowned upon around these parts.

Y'know, if it's relevant information to the topic, I actually think it makes more sense than starting a new thread on the same subject.
