Mystery Gastro Disorder Causing Belly Inflation

This is legit. It's a Gastro-intestinal disorder that has apparently been afflicting quite a few women yet is currently undiagnosed. The woman in this article was a well known hostess on the Wheel Of Fortune gameshow in Australia some years back.

Since she came forward and spoke publicly on a current affairs program recently, many other women have come forward and said they have the same problem to varying degrees.

Please note that it has been a painful and worrying malady - even possibly part of a life-threatening situation she endured a few years ago. Interestingly a common issue with the women interviewed in the report I saw today is the embarrassment they feel about a belly that bloats. Not shown on the online article is a couple of other women who also showed bloated bellies, including around to the sides.

From her second (earlier) story on the site is this quote:

"I was 24 inches around my waist, even till my forties, now there's times I'm 70 inches, like you're nine months pregnant," she said.

"Sometimes I can put a glass of water on my stomach."

"My stomach would start swelling and I could hardly stand, I had to have dresses that were size eight to size 14, because it would just expand a lot of people would say 'are you expecting', they just knew I wanted a baby, but it wasn't that at all of course," she said.

"The spasms were so bad you could actually see it happening.

"One time, I had friends from Adelaide and we were about to sit down and have dinner and all of a sudden the buttons flew off, the zip in my pants broke," Adriana added.

Uncannily like many a classic Inflation Virus/Nanite scenario, right down to the above description.

I've posted this here only, since active or not at any given time, I still consider
this THE Bodyinflation site on the 'net. Feel free to pass it on.

Hers has been an extreme case and seemingly associated with other problems, so many are apparently not so bad. I made the point so as to show a little Decorum and hopefully so others will too.

I thought it to be very much a case of fact being stranger than fiction, and certainly very relevant to our interest.

It concerns me too that they all spoke of the embarrassment of having a large belly, much like women until fairly recently often felt when they were pregnant. This seems to have been the main reason the affliction has remained so obscure.

Its a pity that this disease that causes what many here find attractive can be so deadly. Why cant there be a bacterium that can expand your belly AND be good for you?

Fukureru-Shogun

Yeah, I'd be much relieved to read "The disease has been discovered to be benign and harmless." XD

Still, interesting news nontheless.

When I hear about something like this, it just reminds me that it's a great fantasy but it's not necessarily something we want to see replicated in real life, not with all the messy biology that would be involved. I wish the critics at DA could separate reality from fantasy enough to understand that.

Sounds like she has lots of other problems too, but man, to have to remove your large intestine...what a literal pain.

I never have understood this- people escape through video games, Movies, and whatever all the time, and obviously have no problem returning to normal life. Why can't the same be assumed for us with fetishes?

Because NO video game in HISTORY has EVER depicted the depraved, twisted, perverted act of body inflation!

Oh, wait... :P

I propose he return and nab a cameo in World of Warcraft. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: we need more Night Elf inflation!

And thanks! :)

Wow....if that wasnt such a potential disastrous affliction,it would be cool.

I went and read what all the problems were,...geez..thats really horrible.
It seems really cool as far as its like some BI scenario, but wow...its too bad it is so destructive.

Im wondering what exactly is causing it.
Thats an amazing amount of expansion, and it happens quickly sometimes.
Sometimes 70 inches!!!!
One of the women said that her own stomach muscles were being separated and the belly tissues were separating and becoming herniated.
The results from long term suffering sound very horrible.

If they could only figure out how it works and figure out a way to make your body do that without the annoying death side-effects.

>Many A Quirk...and I don't mind.
>Oh My That's Big...Make It Bigger!

NEssex

It's all our fault! We're causing it! Our sexual perversion has finally affected the reality around us! Quantum physics told us this would happen...with our wishing and our fantasizing and our stories....
he he

Yeah, it could've been sexy, but that's pretty serious.
I do know that on the less serious side, some women when they're having their period can swell up to one whole dress size larger.
I think that's about the best we're going to get without the health risk.

NEssex

Something I did think of is that there is a disease of some sort...I forget the name...it's either very rare or it's been cured today...where, I think the body doesn't eliminate fluid, and the body swells up like a big ball.
I remember in Dante's Inferno, one of the punishments in Hell was that a man was given this disease for whatever his sin was, so he had to waddle around Hell as a big ball filled with fluids...I remember he had a companion with him who kept slapping on his belly, because it made a sound like a taut drum.
But, it was a real disease that people died from. It wasn't a mystical punishment dreamed up by the demons.
So, yeah, I wonder if this might be related to that disease? Probably not, because this sounds like it affects the intestines and doesn't have anything to do with fluid retention.....

NEssex

Oh. I did some research. It was called "dropsy" in olden time, but it's actually just Edema.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edema
I don't think there's a type that causes the entire body to swell. The punishment in Dante's Inferno was probably a specialized type used by the demons.

digdug-lee

OMG..NEssex..I was thinking the same thing a to musing on the idea of our group's desires having affects on the real world..hahahaha...it's a daydream thang..but its got to pop into some peoples minds.
Yes,the edema, dropsy is related to the heart not being able to rid the body of excess fluids. Also, kidney functioning being impaired.
My dad had congestive heart failure so I know first hand how deadly that is.
The heart strength is directly related to the body's ability to get the fluids out of the lungs and to the kidneys fast enough.CHF causes fluids to build up around the heart and in the lungs.
Its complicated mechanics.
There is several ways it can effect the body.
Wow!...BInflation in old Italian literature!hahaha..thats great! I read it,.. mustve forgot about that part.
The slapping the belly thang sounds like features in some of the stories Ive read.
Its a turn-on for sure...hahaha

>Many A Quirk...and I don't mind.
>Oh My That's Big...Make It Bigger!

This post is probably not for the squeamish, and a VERY long way from being erotic.

Off the top of my head, i can think of ascites, where the abdominal cavity fills with fluid and can swell up quite large. That's usually a sign of a serious liver problem, heart failure, cancer, kidney problems or pancreatitis. There can be twenty-five litres, which is around six gallons, of fluid, and as it's liquid rather than gas, it's not compressible and that means a lot of distension (pregnancy is up to around ten litres). It's a pretty nasty condition, and can kill in a variety of horrible ways in itself as well as being a sign of other serious health problems.

Talking of pregnancy, another condition is polyhydramnios, which is excess amniotic (cushioning) fluid in the uterus. This is associated with maternal diabetes or a serious problem with the pregnancy. It leads to a tense distended abdomen and it increases the risk to the foetus even if it's normal. Besides that, there's hydatiform mole, where the pregnancy develops into a tumour instead of a baby. Finally, there are pathological ovarian cysts, which can grow to unbelievable sizes, in that they can be heavier than the rest of the sufferer, and intestinal obstruction, toxic megacolon and paralytic ileus, neither of which are at all good.

There's not a lot of fun associated with any of these. I don't know what could happen that would be fairly harmless, except maybe a long term insufflation of the peritoneum by deliberate introduction of sterile gas into the abdominal cavity. That might be OK.

Whoa, nobody is getting excited cuz these women are suffering.

Go attack people into pregnancy. They love pregnant women, without the thought of crapping out another little hellspawn into the world thats going to carjack you in 15 years. Now thats being overly excited about an illness.

I hate to bring up such an old topic, but after someone on Inflatechan posted a youtube video of another woman with a similar issue, I did some research on Adriana.

She died of an intestinal rupture on June 7, 2010.

Thanks for that piece of pleasant news.

All part of the reality of these such things. It had crossed my mind to find this thread too. She was the darling of a whole generation of guys who watched her on Wheel Of Fortune for many years, and it was leading news the other week. She was a smart, charismatic and gorgeous lady with little pretence, whose daily presence on weekday afternoon TV was part of life for some years. RIP.

You don't happen to have a link to that video, do you? Are we allowed to post links to such things on this forum?

MMTrigger

I don't know about the video itself, but here's a link to the thread on Inflatechan which does have a link:

The video isn't translated, but after a little research on Google, it seems to be from a Thailand reality TV show about people with strange physical conditions.

Well at least she doesn't seem to be experiencing any major discomfort from her condition. I have to admit, I think it would be cool to have a condition like that (assuming there's nothing horrible about it like pain, possible death, etc.) Sure it would force me to have multiple wardrobes depending on my condition and would impat my social life ("Sorry, I can't go out tonight. I suddenly have a 9month pregnant belly.")

Years ago, I got some nasty flu bug and it did cause some major bloating. Made me look like I was 4-5 months pregnant. Sadly, I was in no condition to enjoy it. Only lasted a day, but I spent the entire day going to the bathroom as I just felt the constant need to go number 2 and pass gas.

Wow, that's kind of terrible that she died of an intestinal rupture. When I was busy ignoring my burst appendix for a week last December, my large intestine saw fit to continually fill itself with gas.

It was honestly the worst pain I'd ever had in my life. For a week and a half. I looked like I was several months pregnant. I didn't have to use a belt to wear my oversized jeans. I couldn't wear jeans that actually fit me. It really sucked.

... It wasn't the first time a bloating issue happened to me, though. There'd been a couple prior instances which weren't -quite- as unpleasant but still pretty bad. ... I hope I don't have that condition. :|

Myself in three words? Killer alien vagina.

...Why couldn't you just inflate their uterus?
\_(O_o)_/

throwaway261

Possibility of air entering the blood stream through the uterine wall, causing an air embolus. The result would be death.

Formerly known as unknown.

I wonder if it has anything to do with special diets or certain products used (i.e.- supplements, diet pills, or breakfast shakes). She did do Wheel of Fortune and keep a petite figure, I wonder if the other women were also watching there figures too?

I have seen before that certain health products have side effects, here in the US companies are required to list side effects, but what about Australia? Or even England? Pointing out that our bodies are like scales, too much of one thing can tip the scale and you end up in bad shape. Same goes with what we eat or other everyday products like grooming products and cleaners.

Yeah, I posted a picture from the video in the Screen Capture gallery and she only seemed mildly discomforted, like from a stomach ache; she seems fine in the rest of the video.

Don 't let that fool you, she may have mild discomfort now but in a year or 2 it may be worse. She may end up with ruptured intestines, so I'm still worried for her.
