I've started to notice that stories have been dissapearing from the stories section recently and am wondering what is going on, I mean...things seemed to already be censored with so many stories that COULD be in there...heck there should not be any censoring in a site like this o.o; seems kind of...strange.

Eh I browse the story section alot due to it being one of the truely worthwhile parts of the site these days and I've noticed stuff like "Garden Of Cruel Delights" and "Gas Suit" go missing along with some older works.

"Gas Suit" is still up. As for "Garden", I'm not sure what happened to it, but it was male inflation, and it's possible LK decided it didn't fit with the site. Also, sometimes when people leave the community, they ask for their work to be withdrawn. Luther, if you're reading this, care to explain?

Out of curiosity, why did you immediately assume a giant negative concept like "censorship" was at play? There's some pejorative context with that word that makes me feel uncomfortable.
None of the words in the stories I've seen posted have been changed or altered for content -- either the ones I've written or the ones I've read in multiple places. Editing the individual stories would be a problem to me; simply choosing not to post off-topic stuff after reading and considering it is more like...maintenance.
I think it's more likely that it's "filtering of a themed collection, which the collector's curator has graciously offered to share."
Maybe you need a mission statement, LV.

I would have been surprised if they had removed "Gas Suit" as it had only a 'PG' rating...heck, I felt umcorfortable submitting "The Spa," and that was quite deservedly 'R' rated.

This may not be an X-rated site, but there are some pretty erotic stories on this site... stories that have been here since the AOL days, no less.
I doubt Luther would deliberately censor/remove a story after he himself posted it. After all, if he didn't think it fit on the site, he wouldn't have posted it in the first place.

As someone else pointed out, I have teh right to type and submit a story and Web master has the right not to post it, which is why I didn't get my knickers in a bundle when it took so long for 'The Spa' to be posted...

It would be best if you looked on Luther as a curator rather than simply a webhost. He's building up a collection of stories and artwork and he will pick and choose what fits in and what doesn't.
It seems in this case it was a simple oversight though.

In the case of Garden, it was a mere oversight/mishap. The story was there, but it somehow got flagged as unviewable. I've fixed it, and it's back.
As for censorship, I think that would be overstating things a bit. I have to decide what is and isn't appropriate for the site, and not everything makes the cut. "Censorship" is a highly charged word, and I feel it's not appropriate in this case. I think of that as more of an effort to suppress a particular idea from being expressed. My focus for this site is pretty narrow, and I won't post anything that falls outside it. How the authors express themselves outside of this site isn't something that I consider to be any of my concern.

Agreed. If there are legal repercussions to any content posted on the site, Luther and Luther alone will feel them. Thus, it's his prerogative to reject stories or pictures for publication. Just because the site is free and writers and artists aren't paid doesn't mean anything goes.
When one of my stories was rejected, I didn't agree with LK's characterization of its content, but I respected his decision, and he allowed me to link to the story in an offsite page from the forums. So being rejected isn't the end of the world.
I don't know what you mean. Which stories have gone missing?
Some of the more mature-rated stories don't display if you're not logged in, so that might explain why sometimes you don't see every story.
