Animated girls' clothes filling with water?

First off, the reference:(Goofy inflation)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiSzbqFUQNs

Not a fan of male inflation at all-but hey, that's what started it. I got a VHS of, "The Big Wash" and was hooked before I knew it.

The concept of a stunning beauty sneaking around with a hose, unknown to her, shoved into the back pocket of her tight jeans-and then having that hose turned on to watch her clothes swell up full of water as she waddles about confused, and then POP! Her clothes a ruin-angry and humiliated, all wet-AH! That...is what I'm into.

A shame it's all been in my head. Disney did that scene in 1948, it's been 60 years and I still have yet to see it imitated with a girl. Not DA or anything mind you-(heh I know you can type MikeMedia and find stuff in a few seconds) but a scene on television. D'ythink it's been hiding all these years? I'm sure someone's in a studio had to think at least once-"Hey..let's stick that hose in her dress.." The idea isn't dead (unfortunately in my case it's been imitated with more males...) Does anyone here know any scenes..?

Is anybody there? Does anybody care?

LittlePumpkin

I like that scene too :D Wished I could my clothes fill with water XD

But I don't know any girl water inflation scene. Sorry. :( Not very useful information.
Maybe I can animate such scene by myself, but I'm afraid someone recognise my style...

JannLee

Heh. Yea, tis a shame-all the inflation communities I've asked come up with the same kind of replies. It only furthers my belief of it not existing.

Well there is one teensy-thing I can recall Disney doing-and that's having Jasmine fall in the water in the Aladdin series. More of a before and after because it wasn't like a hose sent water pouring into her clothes-but her pants ended up twice their size...and it was sure enough to make me excited. It's definitely the closest compensation I've seen Disney do but that's it.

Only hope I hold onto is that I haven't seen every single episode of every single cartoon on the entire face of the Earth.

There's the Josie & the Pussycats hose scene, but alas, helium, not water. :/ You're right, I have no memories of seeing what it is you want to see!

deleted_20091014

there's the Futurama scene with Lucy Liu... where a clone of Lucy is knocked onto a fire hydrant... then the hydrant is turned on and she fills with water till she explodes.

Saw a recent episode of "Drawn Together" where they are having a replacement for cereal box cartoon characters--one whistleblower got caught and was force fed alka seltzer and inflated while a female character played the drums on him until he exploded.

Could I trouble you for some screen caps or the name of the episode? Jasmine and inflation is a double win for me.

So many inflation drawings lack flow/life, they are just a girl standing around with a hose stuck somewhere and large whatevers.

JannLee

Mm'yes! Episode is Elemental, My Dear Jasmine-it's probably better known as the debut of Salene, but to me it always be that, little bit of 'water inflation'

I'm a lazy guy when it's come to Imgshack and stuff-but I did post a few screencaps in the Yahoo group Tomsinflatablechicks-I still have the full episode (season actually) on my comp though if you want.

RomanPrime

Hm, the Drawn Together one sounds pretty interesting, I tried doing a search on youtube and found nothing. Anyone have any info or caps possibly?

hfilled

I think I saw it on the Comedy Channel, late night.

JannLee

Sorry to bump up a 9 month old topic by now (unless something's new out there  )-but the Jasmine scene now has Youtube reference.

Scene starting at 0:52, with the water-filled pants at 1:21

Stacked against The Big Wash-Sure, her pants definitely don't take up the entire screen until the point of explosion-but to date it's the only time Disney's ever had water underneath a female character's clothing (and Jasmine's a great choice!), unless I missed something along the way-which is enough of an attempt from one animator at least, and special to me nonetheless. :)

whodofart

LakeHylia did this concept with their character. Heres the link to the first image in the comic.

That's awesome! If only....

Good stuff guys, the DA content makes me feel not alone in the interest. :)

As for scenes-I remember an EM post about a cartoon where ALLEGEDLY a girl has a full body suit inflated with water (like Goofy).

Quote:
There is one thing, I remember from waaaay back when. It was some kinda cartoon, but sadly, I have almost no information, but the scene was this...

A "Mad scientist" is showing around some inventions to his dog, or it might be the dog was looking for something. If i remember right, it was something to go to sleep, like a fancy couch or something. but again, this was almost 20 years ago when i stumbled on it. Anywho, one of the inventions was, if I remember right, was some kinda fancy weather suit. "It keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter!" Anywho, it starts up, and the girl wearing it starts to inflate with water, rather the suit does. She gets huge, untill the dog pops the suit with his claw, and the girl, scientist and dog are sitting there in a daze.

Anywho, good luck with that one, chances are it's gone forever :-D

I spent (or wasted) months looking for that one, which is why I say allegedly. Let me know if that sounds familiar.

Ahhh Yes, I remember that post. heh, and I remember the cartoon, vaugely. NO idea of any details, but eh...it existed, that's all I know.

No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith.

JannLee

Ooh! Same poster-still active!

Would you say this wasn't it?:

I mean, we all know the evils of distorted memory. The cartoon does seem to meet some of the criteria.

Sadly, no...that's not it. I'm almost positive it was western animation. I remember two things clearly, one, of course, being the inflation of the girl in the suit that keeps her cool, and the other, was when the dog finally found a invention to help him sleep, a kinda backpack thing that had a rocker built in, so when you lay on your back it rocked you back and forth...Don't worry about it, it was a good 20 years ago, and it was probaly way to obscure to have anyone record it.

That's definitely Wowser. I remember seeing the exact same episode in Dutch once. (In fact, that scene was what got me into inflatable suits!) I should consider getting the series on VHS/DVD or something (I hope there ARE DVD's of it)

JannLee

Now flationable, when you say, 'that scene' are you referring to the one in dragon's post-or the Youtube link?

If the scene-I remember PMing someone on YT who uploaded Wowser/Dommel episodes:

Quote:
Dommel (wowser US)
hey,
ife got all eppisodes of Wowser (that are 4 dvd's)
ife download it on a Dutch Torrent site.
but all the eppisodes ive got are all in dutch
but you still got some questions?

Robin Timmer

The language barrier kind of stopped things right there-his YT username is Robintimmer16. If you could find that Dutch torrent site, let me know..... :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eTkWWYEJbQ  Starting at 8:15   I love (as my nickname implies) that it looks like a puffy down snowsuit and she just seems so happy and pleased to so huge and puffy...but sadly it doesn't last long. :(

JannLee

Oh yes a wonderful moment. I had stumbled upon it through another thread last year but thank you. :-)

Funny to look back at this six year old topic and think I just eventually put my searching energy into making it myself instead, lol.
