I had the radio on this morning and heard a disco beat start up. Not being a big disco fan I was prepared to ignore my sonic backdrop when I caught the opening lyrics:

Walks in to the room
Feels like a big balloon

Stunned, I sat and listened to three minutes of catchy praise for big girls. This is not the first song to note the beauty of large women but it rates in my book as the catchiest and it made mention of the balloon analogy we all seem to appreciate. It was by a band/artist called Mika and it has had me smiling through whole day.
I count this as a mainstream media mention that name drops our interest, albeit obliquely.

both. He's one of those people like the Darkness... when you first hear it you think 'oh this is different, it's quite interesting', but something about it just becomes irritating very quickly.

The first song that he made it big with has a bit where he goes so high pitched he is only audible to dogs.

He also blatanly imitates Freddie Mercury.
