League of Gentlemen - Inflatable suits

From the BBC series League of Gentlemen

Apparently, these people are asphyxiation fetishists and after their dom dies of a heart attack they all perish when he cuts off their air and can't get it turned on again. From what I understand, the bodies get hid in the place that this is all happening, still in their inflatable suits and keep "popping up" all through the show. I know there are people who don't like suits and think this is the most awful thing they've ever seen, but it has really strong inflatable bondage/helpless rubber wonkness, like the type I have in many of my works.

Have any of our friends from the UK seen this and can they comment?

Those are some really nice suits. That definitely seems like some of the stories I've read, its strange how that made it into a tv series. I mean whoever wrote that scene MUST of had a similar fetish, how else would you even think of something to write like that? I wouldn't imagine you would ever see that on American tv, they would probably edit it out of the series, I could be wrong though.

Shoot I wouldn't mind him capturing and putting me in one of those suits. Without the whole dying part. :P

Yeah, it's a real shame the ending is less...pleasant. Otherwise it'd be the perfect dream scene for inflatable suit fetishists (me included).

Well, maybe if a woman was doing the controlling...

That show is pretty out there. They've had some fat suit action too (was not appealing but).

All kinds of depraved themes abound, so it's no huge surprise there's something like these suits involved at some point.

"Continue the research..."

The creators said they were influenced by a BBC program that featured Mr. Blowup.

Whatever happened to him by the way?

I've been doing some research trying to find out if those suits were made by one of the numerous fetish clothing companies in the UK or if they were built specifically for the show...but so far to no avail, although I've found a couple similar items.

This is one of the most exciting video things I've seen in a while, at least to perverted lil' ol' me.

They don't look inflatable to me. Look more like a foam latex of some kind.

Fukureruba

I found a couple screen caps of them online in their deflated state and they appear to deflate when the machine is turned off.

I saw that youtube clip a while ago, considering to post it here, but I forgot. Good you did it.
I really love it! Especially the acting of the 'evil villian'.
"remember the safe word.... Juliet Bravo" :D

Ah the British, you can always count on them to mix kink and dark humor together effortlessly.

Fukureruba, last time I heard of Mr. Blowup is he and his wife decided to move to sunny Spain and indulge in their inflatable suit antics over there.

I think this shows how what we're into straddles humour and sexuality. I wonder how much the humour depends on unadmitted sexual desire, and for that matter how much other stuff used in comedy has erotic potential.

That's pretty cool! I want one! :D

Koolness Swella! Thanks for the find.

That would make an awesome suit if it just had some booties attached, although I bet it's not double walled and I bet that company wouldn't even consider selling them on a mass basis as fetish wear.

Did anybody else out there find the asphyxia angle stimulating besides me?

The actual suffocation, no. But the helplessness of the situation, yes.

Hey Rubbercat. Question for you. I see what you were saying about the foam rubber; the suits on the Youtube clip don't have the shine that the ones in the pic that Swella linked to. How would you account for that? Do latex suits in their original un-shined state have the kind of matte look of the suits in the vid clip? I got wondering if the shiny suits were causing the film crew reflection problems, so the matted them down somehow.

It's also interesting that they added the red highlights to the masks. Under the lighting conditions they were working under, I bet there wasn't much hint of eyes and mouth on the masks before the red was added. Also, note that they alternated red suits and black suits to make them stand out better.

Latex suits normally have no shine, just a dullish matt shimmer.

Wow... I must say, an excellent find. ^__^

I still love these clips. I've seen the episode, and while it's weird, I love the suit part.

(Not on here too often, replies might be slow.)
