Donkey Kong 64

I remember playing the N64 game DK64 way way back when and one of the male characters had an ability where if you stood on one of his super power pads, he inflated and floated up in the air for a limited time. It was a move for reaching really high up out of reach places of course, and what a way to do it :P

I just thought it was a shame that the only female character Tiny Kong couldn't have the move. :( I always wondered if you knew how to hack ROM's and mess around with the stuff in them, then maybe you could make other characters have certain moves instead? Sounds very complicate tho.

Unfortunately impossible. Even if you'd manage to switch their moves, you wouldn't see the other character inflate because of the lack of sprites.

I'm not sure if you could do it with a ROM. There might be a way to do it, but you'd be better off just making a new animation altogether.

I was thinking the same thing. However it might be hard to make a new animation using the game's polygons.

Well, why make it in the original game? If you know how to make/animate a 3D model, you can make it look a lot better. But if you just want it for the nostalgia factor, it's easy to make a low-poly model that's very close to the original.
