I'm not one to promote unwanted posting of art, but all other sites of CattyN are pretty much gone and empty. Good art shouldn't just be thrown away, especially not when it has a rather rare theme like inflation.

I think the term "rare" doesn't fit this situation. I think he (i always thought i was a she :P ) is tired of ppl hating on and posting his art so he reserves it to a private collection...I can't speak for him but there must be a good reason why his stuff isnt that public

He basically ditched his inflationary efforts to go pro and tried covering his tracks. Understandable, but it ended up leaking out anyway...

As I understood it he was so violently upset with random idiots on the internet giving him shit about doing inflation art that he took his ball and went home.
I don't know whether it's appropriate to post his art in his absence because he basically removed all of it so people couldn't make fun of him. It's not like stuff from Bambi or Stuffer31 in that there wouldn't be any legal ramifications; he'd probably just show up and cry on you.
The only issue would be whether it's moral posting it seeing as how he was "one of us" and asked us not to.

I think that whether it's removed or not is the right and decision of CattyN and nobody else. If he wants it to be removed then it shall be removed.
People just have to learn to respect that.

I posted most of the CattyN art in that thread. I think his work is awesome and I don't think I'm alone. I would much rather he be remembered for his creations, not whatever drama erupted after he created them. I think anybody who sees the art and doesn't know the history doesn't care anyway; all they see is good stuff.
But you're right -- that's not my decision to make, and now that I think about it, maybe I shouldn't have posted it. He was majorly upset when he went into exile. If Catty is still lurking and wants it gone, I'll delete what I posted. (If Catty's not still lurking and has moved on...does it hurt to promote his artwork?)

Shit, you're right. Last time we heard from the artist, he was pretty clear; can't assume his attitude has changed until he reappears to say otherwise. I deleted all but one, since I apparently don't know what password I used to post it.
Maybe someday he'll be okay with his legacy, but until we hear from the source, you're right -- I shouldn't have posted his stuff.

Inflatechan is still rough around the edges. Just insure your posting in the right board. I have seen numerous bans recently for failing to heed Rule #6: 'If you mispost a picture as its own thread, delete it and re-upload it in reply mode to the correct thread.'
I'm sure in time (assuming it survives every great *chan meltdown) it will get better.

That must have been it, but it makes no sense; probably why I didn't do it. Of course, it didn't help somebody bellowed "ride the rules, dumbass!" without further explanation.

Inflatechan has its own culture going on, and the rules are assumed to be known by everybody. A lot of online communities work that way; there's nobody politely saying "Hey, welcome, don't forget, look over here."
Wow. Haha nice.
My only complaint is there are too many categories. If I want inflation content I don't care if its a morph or artwork :P
