Well, there are the more mature aspects of it. Certain body parts that can inflate that a female does not have. I always thought the reason most loved inflated females was the chest, really.

I rather enjoy a big male gaining a pearish or even hourglass majored bloat. It's a change of pace from all the regular. If not the seductive power. *Shrug*

Well, I feel glad knowing I'm not the only one! I kind of enjoy the idea of male BE, as well.. Ah well.

I don't mind male inflation, and i think its more interesting as Bostoncowboy says, there isn't enuf of it "around".
As for how i'd look, t'would indeed be an interesting thing to watch as it can be geared more towards unconventional shapes.

Some interesting responses here, especially the hourglass or BE'd look. As a big fan of the domination/humiliation aspects of inflation I find the later particularly interesting. A guy suddenly swelling up like a OTT centrefold could be quite a story! Are there any out there like this?

I tend to go for the traditional Violet (from either films) shape, but there's also muscle and penis inflation as well.

I also wonder how many men out there like female inflation, but secretly like the idea of it being done to them as well? That's how I started out, liking what was happening to Violet and then began thinking "that's be fun for me too".

i enjoy the concept of myself getting inflated. It was were i also started as i liked the idea of how it'd be for me.

As for size i tend to overshoot the conventions and keep going to burst the convines of the building lol :)

However, I prefer to inflate girls and for girls to inflate me....even though I'm straight and like guys. I just prefer women inflating and inflating women.

Hey gang - VERY long time lurker here. I love this discussion though, and finally decided to vocalize some thoughts on the issue.

Now, to start, I am a straight male, though when it comes to inflation, I think the rules often stop applying in that sense.

After all, I don't believe anyone would think two guys discussing their fetish as "gay", but even if they did, who really cares anymore? Same as when guys become the target of the inflation. Becoming weaker, or more helpless, or inflating to look more like a woman doesn't make you gay. Nor is watching that, or picturing it happening to others.

Along the same lines, I think we often see people who care little for the target, and more for the process of inflation. Think Violet. Is it the inflation, or the person, that is more relevant? To me, it's the inflation. I know alot of you feel the same. Violet was simply the means to an end. Or, end product. It was the act, not the person, that seemed to draw me in. Now, that being said, I'm not discreditting Violet's impact on me while i was growing up, just that I think that a fetish evolves, until the point you started from, and the point you are at, say 15 years later, are very different from each other.

The same goes for male inflation. I think when you are really looking at the issue, it is often humiliation based, and in that case, it doesn't seem to matter who the target is. In fact, coupling a male inflating with typical "female" traits, like breasts, or what have you, the opportunity for humiliation actually seems to increase.

I know as the occasional target of inflation myself, anything goes. Humiliation, female-like figures, an audience, that feeling of helplessness. They are all good, and I don't think it really matters who is doing the pumping. But, that's only my two cents. Feel free to disagree.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who likes the idea of hourglass inflation on males. I had a story idea on the concept a while back -- copy-and-pasted here because it's rather long:

When his bulge becomes too large to conceal anymore, he tries to force it down -- but only succeeds in diverting air to his butt, thighs and pectorals, which then begin to inflate along with his belly whenever he sees, or even thinks of, an attractive pregnant woman.

Eventually, Kevin is forced to pretend to be a pregnant woman himself (he is young and androgynous enough to pull this off), at which point he inflates just by looking at his own body. When the inflation reaches the point where he has trouble walking, the old acupuncturist shows up at his door, explains what he did, and offers to restore Kevin's natural energy flow with another acupuncture session. Of course, sticking needles in Kevin's body would be a bad idea right then; if Kevin wants to deflate himself, that will be considerably more difficult...

Well, it's never really a dull moment. Many fun things can occur (That is if you're into them) while these shapes are attained.

I rather enjoy RP'ing this sort of thing just about all the time, I'm happy a friend of mine enjoys it as much as I do! :D Great to feel accepted.

That's a very interesting premise for a story notsosupersaiyan. I personally like drawn out situations and the idea that the hero of the story has to pretend to be a woman as well is a great twist for added humiliation.

I think my feelings on male inflation have been very well conveyed by Pneumatick. For me it's about the inflation and the feelings of embarrassment or helplessness that goes with it. Personally I enjoy taking a normally strong character (like a superhero) and turning them into a comical, almost inconsequential being. The ultimate role reversal.

Whilst I enjoy female inflation and subsequent objectification that goes with it, I prefer when it happens to men. For me I think a man becoming a blimp is more humiliating simply because men are often considered to be the sum of what they do, and losing that independence seems somehow worse (for me anyway).

That's pretty much the same way I got into it. Unfortunately I'm solely into female inflating male; so it's extra hard to find that kind of stuff. I did like the stuff you had where Hypnotica was feeding Powerman and fattening him up, but unfortunately that seemed to be a rare occurance.

Most girls in the fetish seem to echo pump_me_til_I_pop's sentiment; which is pretty frustrating.

But while we're on the subject of hourglass male inflation, here's my contribution.

Glad you enjoyed that part Caffiene, but you're right it was only a small part of the story. Really the 'Blimp Boy' series was just a way of heaping more and more humiliation on a defeated superhero often in response to ideas sent to me by readers. Most of them liked the idea of being inflated/fattened by the villain Purple Jester rather than Hypnotica (people still want me to RP being Purple Jester). However I'm thinking about doing a similar story about another character called Flame Boy who falls foul of a villainess. Personally I like the idea of being inflated by an older, more dominant woman, particularly if it's against my will.

Also, I like your new 'hourglass' image over on DA. I think it captures what we've been talking about here rather well.

Hahaha. Well, you ARE one of the extreme few from the furry fandom who's got a liking for the humans blimping up. So you've got that much over him. ;) I've got the same situation going for me, but luckily I've found a few from that side who also like human inflation. To the proper extremes, too! How awesome is that? Small world, I know. :)

But to see you continue your work might change a few minds of some people. Your work is nicely done as well X)
