Actually, I think most of BigHorse's art is of humans. I only recall a few animal pieces by him. As to where to find it, he has his own gallery on this site.

Nope, I think the original poster is correct -- as his name implies, the bulk of Big Horse artwork I've seen is of animals. Cowgirls, horses, donkeys, alligators. The straight human stuff is a little harder to find.

Some of that stuff is in this site's gallery, tho, Bob.

Potato, potahto. As far as I'm concerned, they're just human girls in animal costumes.

Gotta agree with inflate on this one...I believe animals were his primary theme. His "human" stuff was very, very good though and would love to see more (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

As a furry, I can assure most of his art is animal stuff.

But he only chooses to show the human stuff here (if you guys don't mind furry inflation, you're missing out on some amazing stuff!)

just like I show human inflation on Here and choose not to show my furry stuff here.

Anyway, his art is scattered around, the "I'm looking for BH art thread seems to pop up every few months.

Best of luck :)

Hisssssssssssss.. ...uh oh!!

It's all there... just takes two clicks.

Image Gallery >> Big Horse

You just have to make sure you're logged in to look at the artist galleries.

Bandura

Best of luck getting new stuff from him. inflatechan and other chan boards have posted his stuff before he was going to surprise people with new material.

I think the chan boards have no control despite the moderations, they have rules but a lot of people are bending them.

I like the idea of inflatechan. I just don't like how greedy the board turns out to be in reality -- there's a huge sense of entitlement. More respect for the people who create the art, like BH, would go a long way. Instead, it appears that they wind up demotivating artists.

And of course, by saying anything negative about it, I will be flamed there. I really, really wish the folks who post there could understand the difference between an opposing point of view and abject hatred.

I'm actually impressed by their restraint. Take a close look at the content being posted. Barely none of it is payable content. But yes, anonymous are a big clusterfuck of shitcocks, it comes with the title. But hey, at least they're being somewhat respectful of artists who would like to be paid for their material and not post it. Mostly what I have observed is a collection of free material along with once payable content that is no longer available and is being provided by someone who archived it before a site was closed.

Well, I think that's in part because the artists in question have gone after them about it, some with legal concerns. If that's the case, complying witha C&D is hardly out of the goodness of their hearts, you know?

I guess the gray area is when artists who have, in the past, released things for free but do not want their work circulated in that format. That artist does hold the copyright, which includes the right of distribution of the work -- they are in the right, no question. But too often I've seen "fuck it it's out there I'm posting it" -- and it seems like that is a true test of how much respect the posters have for the art creators. When you know they have the legal right and you know they're not going to waste time and energy pressing that legal right, do you still respect their wishes?

Bandura

And they wonder why less artists trust anyone to see there work...

This is why there are pay-sites and locked content, No restraint from the boards. I think the boards should only post old stuff/lost stuff rather than ripping new content, you make less enemies that way. Anyone else agree?

This is true, some artist don't want their art posted for various reasons and they should be honored. I see instances of that throughout. I agree with Bandura, old stuff/lost stuff and in addition to current artists that have no problem.

When you post something on the internet, you should do so with the expectation that it will end up everywhere. I'd agree that artists' preferences should be honored, but I believe their expectations are completely unrealistic. Much like a funny joke, a good piece will be 'retold' and spread without the wishes of the original teller in mind.

That being said, it's easy to see how chans are called 'the worst anything ever'. They are filled with shitwits and evildoers with an overgrown sense of entitlement. It's very much the dark side of DeviantArt in my mind. While DeviantArt is filled with morons that fellate artists ad-nauseum, InflateChan is filled with morons that defecate on artists ad-nauseum.

For better or worse, Inflatechan is very much a kick in the pills to what I consider an overly-sensitive community. It pushes and pokes people who lack the ability to accept criticism, and drives crazy those without the ability to ignore obvious trolls.

I'd like the anonymous tards to change, but this is not something I can force. It might not even be a good thing to change, given the items enumerated above. People are people, and the bad things that come with anonymity are unavoidable. It's better to let them bitch at one another and run shit into the ground than to stifle the potential for gold to show up.

As a last note, on the flaming of artists: if someone is giving constructive criticism, you should not ignore it. They're trying to help. If someone is simply critical, you should ignore it. People give chans a lot of shit for being thankless, but the appreciation is there. The critical bits are present, too, but keeping in mind the two bits listed above goes a long way.
