Meeting Inflationists in Person?

I've been having a rather annoying issue lately of not really having anyone living near me from my own list of contacts. I've been considering trying to reach out and look for people in my area to hang out with (among other things), but never having done so before there are a number of comfort issues that have kept me from doing it.

I was hoping that someone on here could share their experience with meeting up with someone that had the same fetish, and could give me some first-hand experience and advice on the subject.

Unless you live in Canada, I don't think I could meet up with you sorry. And I cant really answer that second question because while I have introduced someone to it, they kinda had it without knowing it, and I haven't met them in person. We're great friends now actually.

Actually I am up in Canada. The problem I've been having sadly is that soo many of those I meet just so happen to be in the United States, or fat off in Europe ^^;

That's alright. Most of the time when I hear of people in Canada it's always Ontario anyways, ha ha!

Hearing stuff like this on here makes me realize how lucky I was to meet my friend Ellie IRL. She's not exactly an inflationist but she's way more than comfortable with it and entertains it a lot in drawings. http://eponinethecurious.deviantart.com/gallery/44198614/Things-out-of-the-Ordinary

We talk about inflation and entertain ourselves here and there but we're also just good friends. It's nice that inflation isn't the only thing that binds us. That being said it was such a huge coincidence finding a girl my age who was comfortable with BI in my backyard.

I ran into her online to find out we both lived in the same city. Being that she openly showed her face, was a pretty Latina, and was my age I was psyched to meet her. Turna out we both went to the same high school, were from the same graduating class, AND we were going to the same community college. We were never in the same cliques so I didn't even know the girl but poof, she was there the whole time. Meeting her was as simple as meeting at the school lounge after class. I can't think of anything more coincidental happening. It also strengthened my notion that we're a hell of a lot more prominent than we think. Either that or Ellie and I are literally the 1 out of a million anomaly of the community. I'd like to think not.

As for advice I'd just say don't be creepy. I almost forgot. Another inflationist that I've seen lurking around here also lives in the same city as us. As a point of reference we don't exactly live in a big city but it's not small either (Hint: A certain big eared mouse is our biggest employer ;D). Either way back to creepy. The three of us became privy to this fact and briefly opened up a line of communication. Briefly. When I met Ell I mentioned inflation since that obviously brought us together but I made sure to make it clear that we weren't meeting solely for inflation. It is a fetish after all. Kept it respectful and even talked about maybe playing around with some suits. This guy on the other hand just came off as really thirsty and desperate about inflation making her feel really uncomfortable. We decided not to talk to him again. Ellie and I are still good friends 2 years later and it's all thanks to some internet/geographical coincidence and her ability to open up about who she is online.

I guess just play it cool. If 3 inflationists happened to converge by internet coincidence in Orlando (well so much for hint) than I'm sure that have to be plenty others floating around Toronto and Ottawa. Happy hunting I'm sure it'll work out for you!

I love how you mentioned how it is after all a fetish, and that you didn't want that to be the thing that binds you together. That to me is objectification, and I hate it because it's like your treating a person like your own fantasy toy. I don't know anyone online in my city and I wouldn't feel comfortable just meeting up with someone whom shares the same fetish as me, just for the fact that it's all we are basically using each other for. And I love how in your story you just met her and started talking, but you became good friends and kept the fetish as a side thing and not a main thing.

My story goes as me explaining to someone about what some video meant  (it was some inflation My Little Pony related thing), and he decided he wanted to contact me to try and understand it better (as it was apparently screwing his brain over, understandable). So, I got on his level by explaining that I understand why he would be confused and I tried to play it as good as I could to him, and tried to see things from his perspective. Rather than just chat for a day he wanted to talk some more (as it was getting somewhat late for him), and from there his curiosity grew for the fetish. The conversation we were having eventaully grew into a strong frienship, and after actually trying inflation it turns out that he absolutely loves it, along with basically all of my relating fetishes (soft vore, stuffing, enemas). Yet, despite us just talking about inflation in the beggining, now it's kinda there but it's not the main way we chat anymore. There's plenty of days in a row, sometimes weeks that we don't talk about inflation and it's wonderful. He plans on going on his vacation to Canada in a few months (his family always went to spain, and wanted to try Canada anyways), so we will get to meet each other in person, and probably inflate each other as well!

The big thing I mean by all of that is that my story was that I was educating someone on a fetish, and now, we are great friends with the fetish being a small part on the side. That's how I feel fetishes should be done with people.

I was trying to meet inflationists like Ellie and another person in Florida, but then it didn't quite goes so well when meeting them in person. I did meet Kristina Kattsworth, who loves Violet Beauregarde in person when I traveled to Los Angeles, California for two film internships. I mean we had to work out scheduling and we couldn't talk much, but it was a huge honor and pleasure to meet her in person.

All interesting scenarios that everyone has gone through. Honestly what I want most is to be able to find people with the same fetish, but not as the main focus of the friendship. Mostly something as an added bonus, but I really want to find people that I can meet with to do other things, like play games or go watch movies.

I guess in my case I find it difficult because I've always come off as being rather shy, and I've had more bad experiences than good in trying to make friends.

Berry-DukeAlt

ive never seen any inflationists in person, but I do go for skype calls with anyone since there are zero inflationists in Atlanta as far as I know XD luckily, I do know 3 or 4 people who enjoy my expansion creations irl

It wasn't that I lost interest. Ive been gone from the website for a year, and just havent gotten back to responding to anyone. I had posted on here awhile ago that if you had an ongoing conversation with me to just send me a message again though.

...Sigh. Tayva Tayva Tayva...*shakes head* : p lol Well at least ya have ONE close to ya. hehe ; D I hear ya though! Before I came across you I thought there was like NOBODY here in Ontario too..lmao.

I still think it's funny as hell and rather ironic that like, the only 2, are you and I, and we're in the same city and were realitively close geographicly when we met! LOL That was tooo funny!! X D ..and yeah, you're a shy person. Kinda like a skittery squirrel..lmao ; ) No worries though. You're a dam smart and cool person though Tayva! *thumbs up* You shouldn't worry so much about meeting people!

Hey! *mini light bulb goes off over my head* LOL I'm gonna tag ya in a sec and run somethin past ya.. You wanna start up something for any of those like us, into the whole inflation/ect thing, in Ontario? \; | *thinks* hmm...

I've met people online that I later met up with IRL and so far, it's not as big as of a deal as we often think of it. One of my better photo friends lives nearby and we started a business together not long after meeting.

Now, I've never met any inflationists but if I did I would imagine that it'd be a normal conversation. Because honestly I doubt I could talk about inflation for a long time, I'm more interested in people and their story than I am talking about a pretty small part of my life.

I have a friend in my city, and he has an inflatable dragon costume he got made from Squeak Latex. I haven't got to hang out with him yet, but he wants me to go to an upcomming furry convention in my city, and to see some of the culture first hand. Personally, I'm not into the furry culture (but I do not hate it or am revolted by it (seriously guys?)), but him and another friend want to take me so I might consider it. He also offered me a go in his suit, so that's a pretty big plus for me, because I absolutely love inflatable latex suits.

I havent met anyone in person but have talked to many people with this fetish. Though it would be cool if there were people are where I live to meet up.
