Its actually tthe absolute and complete opposite. Because of Netflix's success, many publishing companies want to make their own streaming services, and therefore pull their stuff from Netflix. This creates the need for Netflix to publish and produce stuff under their brand. Since they have have the most money, you get this impression, because of so many announcements, that they get everything, but the reality is the opposite. They dont and wont have everything, so they push out a lot lot of original stuff.

I am going to remain a little skeptical based on what we got so far. I am slightly hyped to see an animated adaptation of Wonka, but I feel like there are things that I'm not too sure about, personally.
For starters, I want to know who is directing this series, what animation team is working on it, and the writers involved too. We probably won't see anything of this series until late next year at the earliest, so all I can really do is speculate. I just hope they do not take a route similar to that of the 2005 adaptation when it comes to character interaction, and Wonka himself. Violet is only one aspect, but I want to know how she will be animated too.
Best case scenario, this actually does a faithful adaptation with a few expansions to the story. Worst case scenario, this could be completely half-assed like the Tom and Jerry adaptation.
Is the recent trend Netflixing absolutely everything in the world or what? :y
