Interesting. I never could get the hang of kik. Granted, I'm a cranky old coot who is inherently distrustful of new apps and the like.

I'm a Canadian, but I don't use Telegram either. I'm 39 and I guess in my old age, I'm not interested in having a billion different apps to communicate including all these Snapchat/Kik or whatever the kids are using these days. I petition for a WhatsApp group.
If we can get enough people I'd be happy to make one. Currently the one I have on telegram has 10 people on it.
I feel like a Discord server might be a better route in this case. I do NOT think using Whatsapp is a good idea, since it requires your personal phone number and a bunch of other stuff, and like Telegram, it isn't really secure in the slightest.
Discord at least offers a little bit of a personal buffer, so that people who aren't necessarily comfortable with handing out their personal info can still interact without worrying about getting messed with.
We could easily make a server or group chat on discord.
I'll pitch it to the group. As long as we're all on the same page, I'll create one and post a link.

Still working on setting everything up I've managed to find a few people and have generated a bit of interest so far.
