Katie had been psyched about this weekend all week. It was coming up soon that she'd be joining hundreds of heavy metal fans at a concert for a local band that's been stirring up the metal community. She'd been excited to hear the band for a few months after her friends wowed her by gloating on about their 'badass guitarist' and 'hot vocalist', and she finally had a chance to hear them and, more importantly, see them live.

The sun arose over the ocean horizon and sprayed a bright light into the many windows of the large condos. A room on the 14th floor housed Rita, an everyday woman trying to make a living. She climbed from her bed, stretching her limbs outwards and yawning. She took a look down at the beach; she had planned to take a day of relaxation after searching for new jobs all week long. The day was already bright and the ocean was reflecting the sun into her eyes. She had chosen the perfect day.
