I'm quite fascinated by how far 3D modeling has come in the past 10 years or so. I know of a couple of interesting looking packages that are available for free for anyone interested in checking out such things. I've tried playing with them a little bit, but quickly discovered I have little talent for such endeavors. Perhaps I'll give them another go sometime.
Blender is a free, cross-platform, open source 3D modeling package. So far as I know, nobody's used it for inflation art yet, but perhaps it's worth a look. There's a module for designing human models called Make Human.
Daz3D produces Daz Studio, which you can download from their site free of charge. Additinoally, they've recently made several of their human models available for free as well: Vicki, Mike, and Aiko. You'll probably recognize Vicki, as she's the basis for a large number of the female 3D renders out there.
For those who are interested in 3D modeling, Daz3D is offering free downloads of Daz Studio 4 Pro, Bryce 7 Pro, and Hexagon 2.5 "for a limited time".
Check it out here.
