Can someone please explain me how this bit torrent thing works? I have downloaded the client file from the bittorrent homepage but when I press the "download" button for betty boop all I get is media player up running and it says it can't run it! And I have media player 9 with latest codec. Can someone please help me?? Thanks

Sorry, checked a little deeper and realized that won't work. Doing a Save Link As results in the system trying to save a "index.php.mpeg".
That MPEG is the reason for the torrent being run as a video and not a torrent. I'm running Firefox and when I click on the link I save the file to disk instead of running it. That gives me the proper torrent file.

If you right-click and "Save Link As", you'll get the right file with the wrong name/extension. Rename the file and load it up in your BitTorrent client, and it'll work fine.

It still doesn't work. What excactly do you want me to do? Save it as Betty.avi.torrent? or? I dont get it.

Yes, save it as Betty.avi.torrent (or any name endinf in .torrent) and it should give you a valid torrent file. Load it up in a BitTorrent client and it will download the video file.

I'm having BitTorrent problems too. The Betty Boop download gets to about 85% and then it stops and my download rate goes all the way down. Uuh, any suggestions what to do?
Somehow the torrent is being run as an .AVI extension on the page instead of a .TORRENT and that's why media player is being run.
Right click on the selection and save the file onto your HD first then try running the torrent there.
