Probably the Tenchi inflation fanfic "No need for a blimp" it was very well written and captured the characters.

Well, I haped on about it enough on this board already as it's the first inflation story I read, but Sievert's 'Toys' is one of my faves.
I also have guilty pleasure in reading some of Jeff Bont's tales. 'Life on the Farm: Part 2' is particularly good.

My favourites also come from older stock. Virtuality, Floating and Donna's New Look II.
Notice the common themes: helium and floating, submission and no popping.
I like some of Balloonfan's new material too as male inflation/deflation is catching my attention more and more.

My favorites...
The Airealist made it to my list of top picks many years ago. Rampant inflation, floating, and a skintight unitard. What more could you ask for? Classic.
The Ballad of Joe and Moira is another favorite. It was one of the first popping stories I ever posted to the site, it's a poem, and it's very well done.

"Jealousy" and "Busty Babe Blows Herself to Pieces" by Hourglass Lover were two of the first inflation stories I ever read, and remain among my favorites. "Balloon Race" by Alec Deluxe also holds a special place in my heart.

I find that the stuff I go back to is the darker stuff--which kind of surprises me. JH-12 by Plowboy features multiple scenes of expansion and good descriptions, so that always comes to mind. GoodYear Home Pregnancy Test by the Happyguy is, in a sea of underrated stories by that author, another permanent fave.

JH-12 by Plowboy is definitely one of my favs. That story is awesome. Plowboy needs to come and write some more :). I also like "The Bloating" and a lot of stuff by The Happy Guy. We need all these authors from years ago that wrote the classic stuff to come back and write new stuff!!

My first and favorite that I read here was "Charlie's Chocolate Factory". I love that story. I've tried getting in contact with The Replacement but I get mailer daemon. Oh well.

I too enjoy Hourglasslovers work. "Dark Red Hair" by Balloonfan has always been a particular favorite. Anything by Alec Deluxe where a female goes pop. LV mentioned a work by Champagne Moon, I enjoy their work as well. Does anyone know what happened to either Champagne or Hourglasslover? Are they still around, possibly under another alias?

NFP by Luthor Kane
I can still recall the day several years ago when I was a young man, taking his first steps onto the internet. One of the first things I searched was 'inflatable breasts'. I found this story, loved it, and my love for inflation and breast expansion truly began.
Horace's Curse by Luthor Kane
Still one of my all time favourites. Simple, descriptive hourglass expansion, and likable characters to support it.
Bloaters by Kastemel
This is technically a weight gain story, but the comcept of drinking water to swell up is pretty neat. Plus, each girl in the story expands into a different body shape, which makes things far more interesting.
Happy Holly Days by Inflate123
Hourglass expansion and a great, well written romantic setting. What's not to like?
Spread the Joy by Mr Jolted
More of a pregnancy story, but with some insanely huge bellies. Seeing the girls banter and help each other cope their their growth (and seeing how they mess up and get even bigger) is great fun.
Government Tit by Steve Palmer
Tennessee Institute of Technology and Science
A pair of epic stories about a secret government agency which uses breast expansion to undertake undercover missions. Awesome idea, excellently written.
I'd Rather Be Flying by SvenS
Almost perfect. The expansion is well written, and it has a fantastic backstory to give it depth and meaning.

Favorites? There are many writers out there whose work I really like. But let me post the ones from way back that really got my attention. "Eating Light" was the first actual BI story I discovered. It was one of the first stories that came up when I finally had the courage to type the keywords into a search engine - soon after I discovered Dr. Enlarge's "Balloons" and "The Lab".

Just remembered another old favorite -- Toobin' by Strigoii. Girls who get inflated and like it? Yes please.
There is one line in there that always makes me laugh and I have never known if it was intentional humor or just an unusual place and sentence structure for an analogy. It's the line that ends with "baking."
Mine would have to be 'Virtuality'. Always liked that one. Second and third would have to be "Horace's Curse, Part II,'Donna's New Look, Part 1 and 2', and 'Expanding Horizons'.
