HeyYou
Inflation Information

I have some questions about inflation. Please answer here if you know the answers.

1)Is helium inflation safe? And if so is it possible to be inflated with enough helium to float?

2)Is it possible to stay permanently inflated? And if so, how?

3)Is it possible to inflate specific body parts? If so how? If not which body parts get inflated? (When using an enema and air)

4)How does inflation feel with air? How does it feel with water? Which way is better?

Please answer right hear on this topic as soon as you can.

1)I don't know yet if ingesting helium won't give you any kind of poisoning, but breathing helium is risky, since it replaces the oxigen in your lungs and you can get asfixiated (sp?) like with kitchen gas.

2)Permanently? Hardly. The parts of the body that can be inflated cannot be held full for long times.

3)The only actual part that can be inflated is the belly, and as I said in the previous question, eventualy you'll have to let the air go. Other option is for breasts implants, that are, in a way, a form of inflation (a permanent one in this case. hehe)

4)Sorry, I can't answer this one :P

1) no you cannot float

I saw a TV show called Mythbusters where they try to disprove urban myths (more difficult than it sounds) and they disproved the one where a small child is carried away my being given too big a bunch of helium balloons at a fair. It took them almost half an aircraft hangar full of balloons (about 2500 if you were wondering) to get her to start lifting off the ground.
