Why always anime?

Im just curious, why is all inflation seemingly related to just anime? Its like you hardly ever see any inflation art that isnt related to just anime. Not trying to start anything, like I said, I am just curious.

Because the artists who draw it like anime. They like the style and or appeal of it.

Well, I just don't like 3D inflation.
I like the anime style more anyway because You can do a pretty good pic without trying.
There are 3D inflation sites, k?

Not liking anime doesn't specifically mean he was looking for 3D animation. I never used to like all the anime pics when I first started to see them. But I kind of got used to it. My favourite artists are still the non-anime ones, but that is probably because those few artists don't choose to draw anime and not necessarily because anime drawings don't look as good.

Coincidende :P
Me, I like anime, and mostly draw like that. Others, like Johnny Swell, choose to do a more realistic/comic book style.

Plus, Anime is easier to mess with... XD

I really love how I simply ask a question and Im deemed a hater. What the hell is 3D inflation anyway. I never said I hated anime, I just wanted to know. Thanks to those who showed me how angry some of you people are.

Roman, i do think your curiosity led you to make a retorical question in a public board. Have you never noticed that anime became VERY popular in last decades? chances are any fetish, no matter how "small" it is, there will be a majority of anime artists making illustrations out of it. Another fact is that anime is an stylized (sp?) form of art, which makes it easier to get around than the traditional western art style, whom is often a lot more detailed. (that could have been disney art style, or cartoon, but anime is often linked to "elite" because a lot of anime have more adult themes, wich hit our subconscious in a more glorifying way) of course, all i just said could be just a lot of bull crap and dwarf may be right, just coincidence.

Have you ever put on thought why people drink more beer instead wine around some parts of the globe? there's plenty of cheap wine out there, and both will get ye drunk, but people still drink beer. Why cigarretes instead of smoking pipes? Why people use to enjoy more going to beach over a pool party? Why in blazes they did the de-caf coffee? I do belive all of these are questions that won't lead me nowhere, because most will have their own biased opinion towards the explanation of the situation.

Another thing, do try to see people around here as each unique individuals, with problems of their own, opinions of their own, do not take a seemingly harsh comment as personal, do remember tht writing is often more cold than directly speaking. I for one could have been in bad day and flamed this post with unholy atomic fire of DOOM. Saying "some of you" may hit someone (like shooting into a crowd, you're bound to hit someone). Just relax, and try to find out what's so enjoyable in other people's art, questioning why they do it might lead you nowhere, but asking HOW they do, or even pointing something wrong might get you someplace else with a lot more interest and positive response. Enjoy art for itself, not for what it should be, have fun, be cool, drink soda.

Have a nice day. :]

Hater? Angry? Who? Maybe Nator expressed himself bad on his reply, but everyone else gave good answers.

Another reason the anime style may be so prevalent, other than it's simple cultural popularity, is the HUGE amount of "how to draw Manga/Anime" books on the market. I counted 43 different titles today at Barnes and Nobles.

That's a good thing! It's interesting and popular with the young'ns and gives them some prime artistic exposure in their art-starved lives (go-go Graphic-Sha & Chris Hart). I've bought a ton of 'em for reference myself and they've had a profound effect on my artistic development over the past few years (although I'd think my stuff remains kind of a "pseudo-anime" style).

Back in the old days, seems like "How to draw comics the Marvel Way" was the only decent "how to" book. :D

I was going to suggest something similar--it's easily accessed. Anime isn't really my favorite art style, but it is a very popular one at the moment, and I think it's exciting for a lot of Western folks who are just now getting exposure to a form of art that was previously not very accessible in this country. I had a friend in the 80s who tracked down Dirty Pair and we were like "What is THAT?" When I was really young, I watched Speed Racer; in grade school, Star Blazers in syndication; post college, I found Ranma 1/2. Hell, we didn't know the word anime; it was dubbed "Japanimation." Each was a niche shown on TV airwaves with limited selection, and I watched a lot more Western animation overall--Disney, Hanna-Barbera, Filmation. Today, there's Toonami and hundreds of channels catering to lots of niche interests. There's a lot more territory available for the exploration.

So yeah, the current crop of active artists is influenced by it and enjoys the art style. Like the Disney-inspired artists, the anime artists will likely always be there, but may not always be the most prevalent group of artists. It may be that in a few years, some other form of art takes center stage, but anime and Disney styles will always hang on for artists who like that form of expression.

But when I see Josie or Jessica drawn, I certainly take special notice, because I know it's not the current hot style!
