There once was a lad who always seemed sad
That some things were the stuff of cartoons.
"How happy I’d be - how delighted - " mused he,
"If some girls could blow up like balloons."

Now, it happened one night, that conditions were right,
And his timing could not have been better;
As he wished once again, there appeared in the den
A young lady in togs and a sweater.

"There’s no need for alarm, for I bid you no harm.
"I’m a fairy, with powers untold!
"I was just jogging by, and I thought I would try
"To help out, if I may be so bold.

"I am very aware of a poem out there
"Of which you are especially fond.
"And thus, my proposal; I’m at your disposal,
"And so is the use of my wand."

The young man scratched his chin, then he started to grin.
"It’s a prank, but I’m nobody’s fool.
"Even though it is tragic, there’s simply no magic.
"Your teasing is thoughtless and cruel."

"Au contraire, my dear boy, it is here to enjoy,
"And insist that you try it, I must."
He accepted the wand, pointed it at the blonde,
And her hand slowly rose to her bust.

First a tingle, a hiss, then a feeling of bliss
As her bosom began to inflate;
Her feelings of tension and dire apprehension
Soon changed to a much different state.

As he watched her expression, he had the impression
His fairy would love to have more;
So he raised up the stick end, her bloating soon quickened,
Her sweater grew tight, then it tore.

And as he commanded, she plumped and expanded,
As if in response to his will;
The buttons went flying, and yet he kept trying
To coax her to grow bigger still.

As he urged her to try, she complied with a sigh,
And her bosom grew turgid with air;
As it hissed unabated, her belly inflated,
And soon, she’d ballooned everywhere.

As her blowing up quickened, her arms and legs thickened,
Until each resembled a stump;
As she blimped full and round, she rose up off the ground,
And yet still he continued to pump.

He knew he should stop, for she looked like she’d pop,
But a part of him made him keep going;
As her belly he kissed, he just couldn’t resist;
He had to ensure she kept growing.

Now as tall, just as wide, all the air trapped inside
Sought egress, and she winced at the feeling;
Though the pressure increased, her expansion had ceased,
As her wall-to-wall form reached the ceiling.

Her rubbery squeaking soon gave way to creaking,
Her skin now was tight as a drum;
Overstretched, it grew clear, as her pulsating sphere
Quaked and quivered and started to thrum.

The young man took one look as she shivered and shook;
From the den with all due speed he bounded.
From her lips passed a moan, as an ominous groan
From the depths of her belly resounded.

A look of surprise filled her widening eyes
As she finally ran out of room.
With a gasp, she moved past her full limit at last,
And she burst with an ear-shattering BOOM!

He was shaken at first when the fairy had burst,
But then realized that he’d been excited;
He’d liked it quite well as she’d started to swell,
And the outcome had left him delighted.

He felt some dismay it had ended this way,
With her tatters askew on the floor;
It had been so much fun, that he wished it undone,
So the fairy would be there once more.

He started to grieve, and had just turned to leave
As a flash announced something quite weird;
In his hand, the wand twisted, the air chilled and misted,
And suddenly, she reappeared!

"It would seem, my young gallant, for magic, you’ve talent!
"Your skill has returned me entire.
"Gratitude you did earn; now, my wand, please return,
"Since you’ve lived out your dearest desire."

Reluctant, he paused. "Lady Fairy, I’ve caused
"You discomfort; of this, I’m aware.
"But this power I’ve got, give it up, I cannot.
"Life without it, I just couldn’t bear."

He appeared so distraught, that she paused, deep in thought;
She could see why he seemed so unwilling.
To be honest, she knew, as she bloated and grew,
The sensations were wondrous and thrilling.

"Please allow me to speak," she said, kissing his cheek,
"Just to cheer you had been my intention;
"But although it seems strange, I think we can arrange
"To enjoy some repeated distension."

And so, it began, for the fairy and man,
Endless nights filled with bursting and laughter;
With great pleasure, I’m able to here end this fable,
"They lived happily ever after."
