I've seen new captures of the Wonka scene poking up on MSN groups these days. I'm assuming that the DVD is out then. Has anyone managed to pull an avi of the scene of decent quality/resolution? If anyone has seen such a file, I'd appreciate knowing where it is. Thanks.

The DVD came out on Nov 8th here in the U.S. (however pre-release copies were available for download online in reduced quality... and illegal). There's a two-disc deluxe edition as well, I curious what extras come on the second disc.

Harrisonford08, it's simplest to just go out and buy the DVD. I'm all for sharing clips of rare or transient stuff caught on TV. However, both "Wonka" films are on DVD (high quality video), and the deluxe disc supplements for the new movie are worth it (such as Annasophia saying that blowing up and turning blue was really fun). Everytime Violet's fateful scene has come up from the 1971 film I see people complaining that they want it in a different format, they want it bigger, they want it smaller because they're on dial-up, or something.
Go buy the DVD.

Probably is. I also probably don't have over twenty dollars to blow on a 30 second scene that I can personally live without for the time being. I was just wondering if anybody had done anything to get it online yet. I don't really care about format or size. Something nicer than the video from the theatre would be ideal. I'm supposing the answer the the question I asked was "No, no one has done that yet."

I finally got around to editing out a 45 second clip of the main inflation. It's 720x400, 7.16mb, and you'd need the XviD codec (I suggest Koepi's binary) and AC3Filter for sound.
I'm using my own private bittorrent tracker for fun and experience. To download the torrent, click heah. I have an average upload of 40kbps, so it'll take around four minutes. But if more people seed, it'll help!

Yeah, but it was one of those small, cam-in-theater ones. All shaky, dark, and furthermore unsatisfactory.

I've dropped four edits of the 2005 violet expansion on my yahoo group under the files section\!!violet scene edits. I took the above clip and made a few edited clips for anyone that is interested. In the first one, I cut all the other characters out and removed the audio. Then I did a shorter clip of just violet's rear expanding with a few seconds leading up and a few seconds after. The third was just violet's booty shaking around which I reversed and pasted again so when it loops there isn't a break. The final clip is a simlar unbroken loop of violet rocking back and forth at full size. If you want them, here is the link to my group:

Looks like the old group comes in handy again.
At EXblue there are two sections that have picutres from this scene.
One is called 'the new violet' and the other I can't recall but it's the newest section.
