Slither: Bursting Scene

In the new Nathan Fillion film 'Slither' there is a gory, gross, disgusting clip of a lady chock full o' worms exploding. I thought it was cool though (I like a bit of gore)

You can see this scene here:

But you'll need to register and stuff. Howevere you can download the clip in Quick Time and then view it at your leisure.

I can't wait to see this movie and I love the genre, but Michael Rooker, Gregg Henry and Nathan Fillion will make that bit better.

Ah yeah. I just saw that clip as I was cruising through the website...man...*-shivers-* I'm still gonna check out the movie...looks like fun! XD

Never let those who dislike what you enjoy get to you. If they won't bother to understand than it's not worth your time. Hold your head up high and be proud for what you like!

I wonder if someone will be posting it on youtube.com soon?

Do they actually show the expansion or just the bursting scene?

Id like to see it on the internet, cuz Im not gonna spend 6 dollars on it. I dont like these kind of movies. Today's horror movies suck. Its always the same thing. Theres no horror, just gore and abunch of kids dying. Lame writing. And it has become the kind of movie everyone sees, and everyone is so moronic about it..ugh. At least in my enviroment, so that maybe doesnt apply to anyone here, lol.

Well yeah, that's what the clip is. But are there any scenes with her before she reaches that size?

InflatableGirlYasuko

The weirdest bursting scene that I've ever saw was in a movie made in Quebec called "Elvis Gratton 3: la revange d'Elvis Wong". The protagonist, in the end of the movie, contracts a strange illness where his body accumulates *ahem* poop (that situation was an irony of what he said something during the movie, but you would get the joke if you knew the french canadian language)... Then it sort of goes down hill from there.

Here's just under three minutes of the Brenda scene on it's own - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaPxfVVYSjE&search=Slither

Some great gurgling noises and throbby swelling before it gets to the messy bit. There would be some good short loops to be had with a decent copy of the file.

only one where she looks pregnant and there are others that begin growing too later in the movie.

Agreed. I worked at a movie theater, and my boss was near 60 and loved movies. He had been working in theaters since he was 14. I got al ot of history from him, and no movies nowadays are horror. If there isn't gore, it is considered a failure by critics (who gave bad reviews and cut our sales, btw. Any critics here need to die). True horrors have died out and now the genre is called "slasher", started by those Freddy movies and such. And for those who want to know, no there is no inflation scene. So stop asking. That is the only scene in the movie.

Come chat with me on IM!!! Keep me from getting lonely!

I had a peek at that clip.
Seriously gross, bursting is not fun in my opinion, sorry guys (and girls).

Jbeebe18

well i like the freddy and jason films but the new moves like saw or the ring or the grudge DONT scare me...actully they make me laugh

The Ring scared me...

Well, it didnt scare me per se. Maybe the ending, but the idea was so bizarre in a twilight zone kind of way.

*sigh* Are you gonna make me go into this again? I love bursting, so you see gross bursting and inflation in this disgusting movie so now you'll assume all of us into popping are into this gore fest?

Not at all, there should've been a full stop after the 'gross' part.

I was just refering to the clip.
I've nothing against anyone who enjoys bursting, It's just that I'm not a fan myself. Sorry.

Quite a few aren't either unless it's funny/cartoony. In my case I'd like to see the messy end edited out and maybe the surging parts looped.

Most of the community are, however, interested when a signifigant new scene comes out that falls in or near our interests.

It's not that often, and cartoons aside, due to the limited even vaguely plausible scenarios that lead to such a situation (usually horror/sci-fi/comedy), there are often things involved that are not what many of us will always like.

Of course everyone's curious early on about what happens and if there are other similar scenes, but I hope you (or anyone new here) don't get the impression that gore goes hand-in-hand with inflation/expansion. Most of the time it's light-hearted and/or at least mildy erotic.

That's cool, well written too.

Thanks Agent K (!)

Where's Weymouth? There seem to be a lot of places in the U.K. that end in either "mouth" or "sex"! What's going on ?

My Sister just moved to Bournemouth after arriving (from Australia) in Walsall - didn't like it there - enough said.

She's over there as of a month or so ago on a Heritage Visa. Our Grandmother (Nana) was from Sheffield. I visited there and London when I was Ten and have wanted to get back over ever since.

Weymouth's about 20 miles west of Bournemouth, on the coast.
I don't like it here, and I was born here.

Given some time and saving I'm going to Japan...

deleted_20091014

there's a town near me called Cockermouth... for the record if a place ends in 'mouth' it's at the mouth of a river in this case the river Cocker... if a place ends in 'sex' it's an ancient Saxon Kingdom, e.g. Wessex, Essex, Sussex, Middlesex

I've heard there's a town called "Intercourse" I think in the Pennsylvania area.
