A common theme in Carnatic's stories is the exploding. Something else similar to this is the "float away" scenario. Has he written anything like it?
Has Carnatic Written a Float Away Story
Cant wait.
Its like you write it, and then go "I cant pass this up. Im gonna pop her!" lol
Remotes was great. Can't wait to see the next part. Your stories are great in general.
I love it when the floating away has a lot of suspense and suddenness, just like popping. Like if the victim gets inflated more and more until they're way, way lighter than air... then, all of a sudden... the victim can't hold on any more? someone lets go of the string? the rope breaks? the upward pressure makes them slip off the hose or valve? Well, I guess that's for the author to decide! =)
I love float aways...I can just see the look on their face as it happens.
This thread inspired me to write a bit, but the end product doesn't have any body inflation -- only balloons. You can find it on the ballooninflation and heliumballoonfetish yahoo groups, under the title "Kari's Party Bouquet".
Floating is great! If you decide to do a float-away, it will be interesting to see what you come up with Carnatic! I see where you are coming from though, sometimes you have your mind set on a particular scenario and then everything can change in the middle. Something where the blimp girl ends up floating away, not knowing where (or if) she'll come down. *g*

Yes... well it's cos I always feel somethings missing (for me anyway) if I don't put an explosion in it... but with Remotes there are multiple inflations, so I can have my cake AND eat it.
I agree Blown Up.
But too bad your story is with just baloons instead of balloon people.
No... I'm ashamed to admit that while I like other themes and keep meaning to do a float away, whenever I come to write something I like exploding so much I end up doing that instead... though I have done a couple where the inflatee floated then exploded...
keep an eye open for the next installment of Remotes though ;)
