Gas-X print ad.
Huh, I didn't know there were gas-x print ads...I would have liked to see the caption! :D
Thats pretty awesome! Maybe they'll make it into a TV commercial :)
Public inflation---check
Buttons about to burst---check
Amused and shocked expressions----check
That blonde seems to be laughing! haha
I could be wrong about this (I probably am) but I think I noticed something unusual. Like most of these kinds of advertisements never contain a male inflating. It's usually a woman blowing up for our amusement.
Could this be a mere coincidence or is there an inflation lover pulling the strings on what we observe in our commercial breaks and magazines.
If that's the case and he/she happens to be reading this, I wonder if they take requests. Hint, hint.

I keep sayin': It's a conspiracy!
;)
Why, oh why, does at least on person always try to twist advertising sensibilities into "an inflation lover pulling the strings".
Let's put it this way:
Men look at women.
Women look at men.
Women look at women.
Men (under most circumstance) don't look at men.
Ever seen a male deoderant commercial? The only reason why the guy is in that commercial is so that the hot girl can hang all over him because he smells nice. That's what sells the product.
The fact that it's a woman in the picture is not grounds for an "inflation in the media conspiracy", it's the old saying of "sex sells" in action.
I think the bias is more in the inflation community than in the advertisers. That is, regardless of how often men are blown up in ads compared to women, you're far more likely to see the ads with women mentioned on this site.
There's an image similar to this one that features a man inflated and floating away (I just uploaded it to the gallery), but that one won't get as much attention because most of the people here prefer to see women inflated.

Well I was the first to say my crackpot theory was probably wrong. I think when I wrote that, it was supposed to be more of a joke. I don't recall actually getting my hopes up for something like that.
Pakona, maybe you find more obscure advertisements that are interesting for us and Im not aware, because for years Ive been saying that for some reason, whenever this sort of comical relief is used, seldom are women the victims :p

Maybe I'm just going out of my mind. So far this idea of mine isn't going very far. I might be mistaken. I really should watch more TV.
wow she looks amazing... Wish i had dinner parties like that. :)
There's a male inflation in a similar situation on the link above...I don't think it's because sex sells, because it's not about sex to anyone else but us.
I would not call that real life pic. I thought I was going to see real belly inflation or BE. It is a good pic.

I can't say for sure offhand, because I don't have access to things like how many magazines and such these two ads were run in... but it is a damn good bet that the one featuring the woman was featured in more than the one with the male.
I was wrong -- it's not Gas-X, it's a print ad for Mylanta. And I'm guessing it's from Down Under.

Somebody want to give me the name of a magazine I can get in the US that has this ad in it? I'd love to do a better scan on a high quality machine at work.
I'll have what she's having...:)
I think the first one posted was still the best.
Where did that come from?
