Sorry to derail with a non-directly-related-to-inflation topic, but I was wondering if someone could fill me in, if they've heard of this before.
I had a non-inflation deviantart page, and it was watched by some pretty close-minded people (like my mother) so I didn't want to start posting stuff there. I decided to make a second account, one souly for inflated stuff, under a different name and no real links. I'd seen other people create two accounts before, and as long as they weren't doing much between the two, devart really didn't care. I didn't even visit my page from one to the other to bump my pageviews.
It was fine for about a week, but now I can't log in because it says my 'password and username' don't match, and the problem persisted even after I had them e-mail me a new password.
I tried visiting the site while logged out and it gave me an 'internal service error.' "No problem" I thought. "Just tech issues." Their website hays that these problems last for 5 minutes usually, and half an hour at the most. It's now been three hours, and I've noticed that my username is being deleted from the activity list of other deviants. Is this a prelude to account deletion or banning? If so, what did I do wrong? I labeled all of my 'questionable' drawings (which were not actually that questionable) as mature, slapped on the mature marker, and haven't been copying other deviations. I recieved no hate mail, warnings, or other such comuniques. Has anyone heard of this happening before?
Also, I noticed pictures from my main account are being deleted as well, with apperently no ryme or reason, but I can still view the account just fine.
If it wasn't for my paranoia, I'd say this is just the beginning. Just a matter of time before the government breaks into your home and charges you for "expressing yourself"! But seriously, I think it's just DA being a total @$$.
