Hi res violet scene edits (finally)

I edited all the 2005 violet inflation scenes (no other characters/dialogue) together into a couple different clips and dumped the sound. I do have to warn you that these files are huge. The resolution is 1280x720 (I started with an HD rip of the movie) and they have been gamma corrected (brightened) so you can make out a lot more detail. The longest file is less than 600 Mb and the two smaller ones are less than 200 each. That sounds like a lot until I tell you that the uncompressed version of the long clip was fourteen gigs. I hope you have broadband and some patience because it is totally worth the wait.

You should be able to play these with a properly updated windows media player. Be sure to full screen view these if your computer can handle it as the detail is awesome.

Thank you! I downloaded the "just the inflation" (Sequence_01b.avi) one and it's awesome! It took an hour to come in (no problem of course, I just worked on other stuff) and it was definitely worth getting for the color correction alone - you CAN see more. Thanks Harrison

What the hell? I downloaded jus the inflation one and when I play it, 3/4ths of the screen goes black and the rest becomes wavy.

How about some screen caps to make sure this is actually worth the trouble of figuring this out?

Wow, thanks! Downloading now.

I haven't tried it yet, but VLC player is known to choke on very large files, so if anybody is using that and having trouble, try QuickTime or Windows Media Player and see if you have better luck. The data transfer rate on these AVIs is probably enormous.

It gets jumpy on mine too when I have other programs running. It is probably just a memory issue as the files take up quite a bit of that to run.

I use bit torrent but I've never successfully created a torrent file. If someone wants to walk me through it, email me at handemansolo@hotmail.com and we'll figure it out. I have broadband here so transfers should be faster.

I do hope someone walks you through on how to bit torrent it. I think I do want to see these, despite not seeing the picture yet. I tried window media player and trying to us that, my computer shot off both times.

Did you include her nose turning blue and skin changing?

The longest scene has her talking a bit and then sticking the gum in her mouth. She then starts to turn blue in the nose which spreads to the rest of her body. All inflation and rolling scenes are included after that (and I slowed down her but inflation part). In fact, I drew out the rolling scene by mirroring it (looks like they're rolling her back) and then forwards again. The final scene is of her mother pushing her into the boat. I think the best part of these scenes is that once you brighten it up you can see the little details like her feet and hands flapping, her eyes and head going back and forth, etc.

I do hope that you figure out a way to get these files working. I can give bit torrent a try but I'll have to have a place to upload the torrent file. I may do so on my yahoo group. Let me give that a try and I'll get back to you guys tonight.

Sorry it took so long. Hopefully these will work. I'll try to keep an eye on group memberships to make sure you all get approved. Just make sure you say something about liking inflation. People that fill in the box with nothing or a smiley face will be assumed to be bots.

Are you having trouble playing it or downloading it? If you're having trouble playing it, both windows media player and the free player you can download at divx.com will play it.

But The original Wonka came out on Blu Ray Recently, (Still in the annoying wide version with legs cut off).

However, still in a nice 1080 resolution of Blue Berry Goodness.

There's two bittorrent trackers, publicbt.com and openbittorrent.com, that anyone can use to create a torrent. You should be able to simply add the trackers to the existing torrents that you've already made. I noticed that the single tracker that you used changed to a new IP address or dissappeared altogether. Hope this'll get them shared.

I finally got ahold of a hi-res version of the old Willy Wonka. Should only be a matter of time until I have an edit done. When I finish that, I'll do torrents for the old and new edits with the appropriate trackers. I have upgraded my bandwidth for other reasons and should be able to spare 50 or so kilobytes.

I finished an edit of the old violet scene. Unfortunately, it's a little jarring because there wasn't much of a transition between her being medium sized and spherical. Oh well.

I've uploaded torrents for the old violet edit as well as the clips from the new one with the new trackers to my old yahoo group. They are located in a folder named hi-res violet torrents. I'll try to keep an eye on membership so everyone can get a wack at it. If someone knows somewhere else to upload the torrents, feel free. I'll keep seeding them for a bit but please keep the torrents uploading after you are finished downloading if possible.

You should be able to use uTorrent, which really doesn't gum up a computer much as it is very small and free. All it does it download torrents and it doesn't come with a bunch of crapware attached.

Thanks. The cuts I did of the new Wonka film were brightened up because of how dark that scene was in the movie.
