well I just saw it, it wasn't too terribly bad. It was more of an "about" than anything else. Showed a lot of real inflation clips, and a bunch of taylormade stuff. They did show the bodyinflation.org website though... so its possible we might get spammed... either way woohoo people got to see me inflate on TV :D

I'm not saying DON'T do it by any means, it was pretty f'ing cool to be perfectly honest.
I just care about all of my fellow inflatees in this community, whether it be suited inflation, stuffing or 'real' inflation and the last thing I want is for you to go and explode yourself. ^_^

I can't seem to be able to watch this latest inflation bashing. Is this because it was only just on tv? I can't seem to get it on their website, just the title of the video and no actual flash player of any kind.

Another way to look at it is that maybe some entrepreneur out there will see the segments on G4 and realize there is actually a market for this kind of thing and start catering to us. How would you like to be able to drive down to the local X-Mart and pick up some inflation porn videos or magazines, or inflation props, or even an inflatable bodysuit?
Amazingly enough, G4 also seems to get the fact that inflation fetish is a broad spectrum. Of course, they did spend most of their time on the folks who stuff air hoses up their butts, which is arguably the most extreme manifestation of this fetish (no offense folks), but amazingly enough they did seem to understand that not every inflationist is into that sort of thing. The fact that AOTS seems to understand the distinctions after only two or three weeks of research while our most vocal critics can't figure that out after over a decade...I find that promising.
There is potential here. Take furries as an example of another odd fetish. As much as furries are ridiculed and poked fun of, I think they are actually beginning to infiltrate popular culture to the point that they're becoming similar to foot fetish or heterosexuals who crossdress--sure people still think those things are weird, but they've *heard* of them and thus some of the shock value has worn off, and characters with those fetishes can now easily show up in mainstream entertainment. Since it's worked out that way for those other fetishes, I think some manifestations of inflation fetish, like inflatable latex catsuits, could easily start making appearances mainstream television and movies once the shock value begins to wear off.
Hell, look how popular inflatable costumes are getting every Halloween, and balloon boobs have practically been a Halloween tradition ever since Dolly Parton became famous. Balloon butts are more popular as well.

Yeah, I know it wasn't really bashing, I just couldn't think of the right way to put it.
Uchm, when I wanted someone to inflate her and post it on youtube, you thought that was too harsh. Anyway, I was just trying to be funny, and it was funnier when I thought of it than when I read it again. Besides, it's not as pitiful as you might think. The thought (which wasn't expressed very well) was to take up the most important parts of her life and then reveal I'm into something she doesn't understand and made fun of, and of course making sure she understands I want to inflate her like a balloon with the possibility of popping (since she seems so afraid of balloons popping).
Why am I explaining all of this? I don't need to...I must be starving for attention...
Wren, I wonder, if it does become more mainstream, how will people react. Considering how much inflation is already used (though not in a fetish capacity)...
1.Will people in general freak out at first because they have seen it so much and maybe didn't realize they had this thing for it?
2.Will it suddenly become widely accepted and more common?
3.Will people just go "eh, another weird fetish" and go about their business?
I'm partly for the first one. I think it is far a more popular fantasy than anyone realizes. But I know people will probably be more like number 3, which is I think what you are saying. They will just realize it's something strange and say to each his own. Let's just hope for number 2.

Whether the spot was positive, negative, whatever, I don't really care. But I think I liked it better when we didn't get much attention.
This is pretty much why I never go there.
Not that I have seen it yet, but I can tell it's bad just by what you say is in it.
