Inflation in videogames

I'm sure this one has come up before, but there was a level in "The Lost Vikings" that required inflation to get past obstacles in the stage:

I don't know if this forum is active, but I have seen some inflation sequences in Metal Slug from 2 to 5 or 6. In some of these, the character gets fat for eating lots of food and, if an enemy attack him/her, explodes. Also, there is another sequence in Metal Slug 3, in where a mutant plant grows into the character's body, expand him/her and then burst.
If someone knows more expansion, put them in this post.

Did anyone else spot "Monster Business," a cross between Dig-Dug and a platformer? The online flash version is pretty crummy, but the actual game that was in arcades looks pretty good.

There's also a pair of low-grade inflation-themed flash games that came out recently, "Inflate Us" and "Expand It."

Video game inflation, my specialty. *Cracks knuckles* I'll start from the earlier consoles and games that I can remember and work my way up to present day.

Yume Penguin Monogatari - You play as an out of shape Penguin trying to score love points with a girl penguin. Throughout the game you can get in better shape, though some enemies will throw candies/foods at you and cause you to swell up.

Bio Miracle Bokutte - You play as a baby with a bottle and your main attack is hitting enemies with it, causing them to inflate for you to jump on them as platforms or use them as projectiles.

Bubble Bobble 2 (I think it is, could be #1) - You play as one of two little dragons that shoot bubbles instead of fire. However if you hold the B button down instead of just tapping it, your dragon will inflate and float to the top of the screen.

Dig Dug - We are all aware of this one, no need going into detail.

----------------------SNES/SEGA-------------------------

Super Mario - Again, we are all aware of the P-Balloon. No need to go into detail.

King of the Monsters 2 - A fighting game where you choose from a set of giant classic monsters and battle in cities and such. The end boss however is a giant snail looking thing and will shoot bubbles that if hit you, inflates your character and causes them to float helplessly for a few seconds.

Barts Nightmare - Already mentioned above by Lateralus.

Batman Forever - A side scroller initially, but with two players can play a fighting game. One of the characters called Riddler Thug has a move where he pulls out a gun and shoots a beam at you causing you to inflate much like that in King of the Monsters.

Pacman 2: The New Adventures - Has a scene in the game where Pacman needs to get atop a building, he angers a balloon salesman who proceeds to grab Pacman and stuff a hose connected to a helium tank into his mouth, inflating him and causing him to float to the top of said building.

Mortal Kombat 2 - Again, no need to go into detail about this one.

Mortal Kombat 3 - Kabal has a fatality where he hook a hose from his gasmask to the person and inflates their head until popping.

Ren and Stimpy - There is a level where both Ren and Stimpy get inflated by a bicycle pump and then proceed to float around the level, moving themselves with their own gas.

Crash Test Dummies - There is a power up that inflates your dummy so he can reach new heights and also lets him bounce around.

Boogerman - Has both a belch and fart attack that are done by tapping the right buttons. If you hold the buttons though he builds up his power and depending on which one it is either his butt or belly will inflate.

Earthwork Jim - There is a section in a couple levels where Jim inflates his head and floats up the level.

Turok: Rage Wars - Has a gun in the game called the Inflator. Has two modes of attack. The first inflates the enemy gradually before making them pop, with the second fires a slower but better beam that causes the enemy to inflate automatically to the point of explosion.

Duke Nukem 3D - Basically the same as the Turok weapon, only difference is it is called the Expander.

Clayfighters 63 1/3 - Earthworm Jim makes a cameo and one of his "Claytalities" involves him inflating the head and sleight body of the enemy.

Conkers Bad Fur Day - There is a rat in the game who asks for you to find him cheese. You bring him enough and he swells with each piece before bursting and giving you a key.

Conkers Bad Fur Day - There is a vampire who transforms into a bat and then makes you put villagers in a blood juicer to feed him. Much like the rat, each villager you feed him he grows until bursting.

Donkey Kong 64 - There is a character named Lanky Kong who has a power up much like the P-Balloon.

Mario Party - There is a mini game where you inflate a lifelike image of Bowser until he pops.

Pandemonium 2 - One of the two characters is a wizard with a power up that when found makes enemies inflate each time you press square until they explode.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - There is a character in the game who's special casts attack involves her breasts inflating to triple the size before sending nuts and bolts hurdling towards the other fighter.

Bomberman World - Classic Bomberman only in this version if you get caught by a bomb you begin to inflate before exploding, kicking you from the round.

Monster Rancher 1 & 2 - Not quite inflation, more weight gain/stuffing. Basically you can feed your monsters as much as you want and watch as they become obese.

Darkstalkers 3/Vampire Savior 2 - *My personal all time favorite fighting game even without the added bonus of a inflation attack* There is a character named Jedah who has a move where he grabs his opponent and inflates them to the point of bursting. Best ones are Lilith (Breast) Gallon (Belly) Zabel (Butt) and Jedah himself (Belly)

Klonoa - The game basically involves around you inflating your enemies and using them as platforms and projectiles.

Namco X Capcom - Taizo Hori (Dig Dug) makes an appearance as a playable character and is in his glory by inflating his enemies during his attacks.

Stretch Panic - Again, not really inflation, but there are female enemies in the game who's boobs and 3 times the size of their bodies.

Haunting Ground - There is a Codemaster cheat that lets you adjust the size of Feona's chest from small to ridiculously huge. (Really good game on it's own as well if you like true survival horror.)

Bloodrayne 1 & 2 - There is a cheat code in game that causes Raynes boobs to double in size.

The WWE Smack Down games - While again not technically inflation, you can end up making females with amazing proportions.

Timesplitters: Future Perfect - Has a gun in game called the Injector that basically inflates the enemies until they explode. Sound effects and character effects are really well done on the female characters (Especially LT Christine Malone and Venus) in this one. *Also an amazing game in it's own rights*

Soldier of Fortune - Much like all the other FPS games, only thing really changing is the name of the gun. "Microwave Expander".

Conker Live and Reloaded - Basically a revamped and updated version of the rat and bat in Conkers Bad Fur Day.

King of Fighters Maximum Impact - Also has a Codebreaker cheat that allows you to change the size of the girls boobs to 3 bigger sizes.

Rumble Roses XX - Not quite inflation, but it allows you to change the figures of all the girls giving them some really sexy proportions.

Dig Dug Arrangement - A HD version of the classic Dig Dug only involving bosses that you can inflate to huge sizes and power up such as "Super Pump".

------------------------PS3-----------------------------

Disgaea 3 - A DLC character named Jennifer *return character from the 2nd game* has a attack named Booby Missile. Her boobs grow before launching themselves at the enemy.

Disgaea 3 - There is a monster you fight/recruit named Baciel who has a special attack where he injects his gun hand into the enemy and them pumps them up before making them explode.

-------------------------PC/Various---------------------

Diet a Go Go - You play as a boy and a girl trying to fight evil junk food. You throw little bubbles at the enemies inflating them and using them as projectiles. Also if the enemies hit you, your character inflates. You have 2 stages before loosing a life.

Kamen no Maid Guy Boyonon Battle Royal - A fighting game similar to Super Smash Brothers, only with lots of bouncing boobs. There is an item that if thrown at the girls cause their boobs to expand, bursting through their clothes.

Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines - Has a cheat that allows you to play around with the size of any female NPC in game.

Vampire Masquerade Bloodline - There is a spell in game called "Blood Boil". Once cast on someone they swell and bubble before exploding in a giant mess.

Ok that's all I can think of off the top of my head. It's late here and I need some sleep so I will add some others that I may have forgotten some other time.

Don't forget the famous inflation in almost all games of Bomberman, you know, he get hit by a bomb, an enemy or the time go out and he burst!

Does anyone have Timesplitters Future Perfect who can put up a video of that? I had zero luck trying to find it and I want to see o.o

I think there's a sumo mode in Bloody Roar 3 on PS2 that makes everyone fat. Never seen it in person, but I heard it's unlockable.

The Timesplitters inflation was great. Made matches with all female characters and the dart gun...uber fun :)

It's like Diet Go Go, but with inflation instead of fattening. You swell the enemies and then throw them to other enemies. It's named "Bang Bang Buster".

You can play as either a male or female bunny-like anime character. It seems like the bosses can inflate you as well.

There's a wide variety of different enemies to see swollen. There are even female foes. So far I've seen at least three ladies (Havent seen the whole video yet).
In the Egypt level there are some springs with female face and Cleopatra-like opponents.

It's from 2000. Interesting that at that point, 2D arcade games were still being made.

i have uploaded a good quality video of timesplitters inflation... i love how when your being inflated your screen streches and bloats as well- which i think is a masterpiece of an effect i dont think could be done any better. 

Personally, i really would like to see TS 4 come out and have: injector, still lots of characters+ character creator, rated m with nudity, great inflation sounds and moans explodes. All that + still being a great game besides.

for now- future perfect is still f'ing great and well worth it. my favorite female is the divinci girl whos mostly naked. shes the one in my vid.

I've recently found a tool for Garry's Mod called "Joint tool". It allows you to mess around with ragdoll bones, so if you use it wisely on a female one, you could make her look inflated.
