I had forgotten about this movie! It's very funny - basically, it's a modern version of a Marx Brother's comedy. I saw it right after it came out on VHS and that scene really got my attention. Being pre-internet (for me, at least) I was still very much isolated about all this and while watching it with some friends had a severe paranoid panicky "don't...react...abnormally" moment. Excellent post!

To be honest, I've seen it when I was a kid and did not understand why he was "inflating" her. Years later I recognized the scene from looking at stills from "Cheviot's Place." I was also shocked because it was so spontaneous and unexpected. But thanks guys.
Yellow, self-inflating with a pull string...rectangular when folded but round when inflated. Custom item, I guess? Anybody seen anything like that before? Good eye, Crow!
