How would you react?

It's like this, you leave your computer for a bathroom break for example, then when you come back, someone you trust that is not into it finds the site. and asks questions that either you are or you don't answer.

it has happened to me, but not often.

I've not been caught like that but I tend to take many precautions I'll open another tab and go to google or something like that. In addition to that I'll open a second window and just go to some other site and I'll leave that one up while minimizing the other one. But I've got my own comp so I don't really need to worry about it if I'm going for any period longer than just taking a piss or getting a drink I'll close out of all Expansion related sites or porn lol.

The most simple thing to do.

Multiple tabs, locking the screen, and occasionally delete my browsing history just to be safe should somebody in my house need to use my computer (though they don't know the password anyway)

Precautions! precautions! & precautions!!!!
Do not be lasy!
- Never leave site when you are not near your comp!
- Never leave history, cookies.
- Never check "remember password"
- Never use "form filler" in your browser

You can NOT trust anyone or anything - you can trust only yourself.

The BIGGER - the better!

My girlfriend (lived together 2.5 years now) knows pretty much everything. However, in the first 6 months or so we lived together she decided once to go through my browsing history and gave me hell for where I'd been. We had a little talk about trust and privacy issues and it's worked out so far. It is a constant struggle for someone you love to come to terms with something they can never really fully be a part of even if they want to... Keep working at it and things will fall into place.

If, however, you are around people you either can't trust or don't want to let know:

Use a completely separate browser for your normal browsing than your inflation-based browsing. Make sure there are no easy to access shortcuts (i.e. on your desktop) to the fetish based browser. That way any history or links will be completely inaccessible from your "normal" browser even if you forget to clear them. Set a password to your power scheme or screen saver. That way, if you walk away from your computer for more than five or ten minutes, it will automatically lock against casual access. Use a separate email account for your fetish stuff and use a fake name when you register those accounts. Other than that, it's hard to say. Any yokel doing a *.jpg search is going to find your naughty pictures if they have access to your computer or hard drives. So I guess make sure you do a good forensic overwrite (killdisk or something similar) if you ever get rid of a hard drive/entire computer.

i was on my way to training one night and on the way there my gf messages me saying she found some "stuff" on my computer. this was very unlucky as i had deleted all my cookies and browsing history as well as closed any windows. i thought i was safe. the way she found out was by clicking on the start button, and then documents, and then recent documents... i had previously been working on one of my stories.

curiosity got the better of her and yeah, i had a very worrisome training that night. lucky though she seems to like it so all is well.

Right! She pulled out a plasma torch to cut through the data center door, then attacked the hard-drives with industrial grade data recovery software and "stumbled" upon some of your old encrypted and secure-deleted files.

"I trust you, honey."

I'm very cautious, and make sure to cover my tracks well. However, one time, a friend of mine wan listening to music on my computer. I told her to go into a folder to find a new song that she would like. Unfortunately, she accidently clicked on the wrong folder, and found some inflation pics that I had downloaded. She looked shocked and confused, but probably more because she had clearly found something not meant for her eyes, rather than what it actually was. Without saying a word, I deleted the folder, opened the right folder, and played the song I was looking for. The conversation went on like nothing had happened.

So awkward though.

..... something like that lol

For me, I just try to be careful - I have a personal laptop, password protected. I use different email accounts for everything inflation-related and I use CCleaner to delete all of my history permanently

Masquerade

This all comes from my iPod, so it's very easy to cover my tracks. Deleting history basically gets rid of all the evidence.

I get nervous, myself. Since I've gotten my tower built, though, I tend to just... Keep my laptop in my backpack or hidden somewhere. The bf doesn't really use it much, as he has his own/ likes the tower better. So... I just keep my 'hobby' off of the tower and keep my browser from saving histories/cookies and hide my favorite folder. It seems to be working for now.

You guys never heard of the new privacy modes in all the latest browsers? Just use that, no shortcuts, no history, no cache saved.
