Inflation on UK TV show

I've just seen this, it was broadcast literally minutes ago.

It's a show called 'Genius' on BBC2 where the regular host is joined by a celebrity panel and then members of the public/audience suggest inventions and the panel decide whether they are genius or not.

This particular suggestion was inflatable pants which can be used by people who perhaps have a bony arse and find sitting uncomfortable. The show even produced some prototypes and had members of the panel try them out.

The one female panel member was a bit middle-aged (though pretty attractive for her age) and the design was somewhat rudimentary... but still, I was sat watching tv and was not expecting to see that.

I recorded it and will try and get it on youtube for everyone to have a look see. It's nothing great and I'm sure people will be more disappointed that it wasn't a better looking model with better designed pants, but still... we takes what we gets.

MAS trousers are inflatable pants used to immobilize the lower body until the patient can be delivered to surgery. Can't imagine a fetishist taking a liking to them, though.

But whoopie pants with an inflatable butt? I've never seen anyone with a backside that boney, although an ER worker told of a guy who wiped out on a motorcycle and left his glutes on the highway like a pencil eraser being worn down... (Always wear your leathers!)

Let us know when it's on youtube. ;)

Ouch :|

well this isn't a serious show... case in point two other ideas they considered were a car with a magnet on a fishing rod out front to pull it forwards, and why do Sweden and Norway need to be seperate countries when they could be Swedeway.

Oh, I'm sure the Swedes and Norwegians loved that one. (And British English and American English are the same.) Reminds me of Kurt Russell's character in the remake of THE THING.

"They're not Swedes, Mac, they're Norwegians!"
