Captain Neil

Anyone hear from him lately? He closed up shop on DA years ago and shut down his alter ego's DA account, Catguy Paladin, about a year later. It appears his last upload to the site was a little over a year ago. I rather like his stuff and was wondering if he was still drawing.

I'd also like to bring up the fact that the Image Gallery is doing all sorts of strange things nowadays, mostly to older miscellaneous images. One such image is a Captain Neil picture that you can search for, find, but cannot view (redirects to here), but you can find via a Google search, view, and favorite, but without it appearing in your favorites (image here).

If you have an account, and of course you do since you were able to post in the forum, you can see his Album in the Image Gallery here. Also, I found that image I mentioned in my first post in a Favorite-able format (link).

People come and go. Maybe someone matched his real self to his online self and he decided to disappear. I always suspect it's something like that.

XD I'm still lurking about. I had a lot of thoughts about fetish art in general. Namely the big one of "people liking a 15 minute sketch that has inflation, but not interested in a long drawn out 2-3 hour colored pic that actually shows improvement, but has no inflation". I fell into that category for a while and having low self esteem it really confused me, and I felt that I needed to move on a bit to learn how to make my regular art look better.

I actually got back into school to go get my BFA in character animation (2D +Flash). And I went after gaming rather than drawing over the last few years. I did some neat animation projects over the last year that I uploaded, but none of them inflation, so I'll keep them out of here XD.
Another designer I was talking to about drawing and people who like your art said this to me: "When people are easily impressed, it only lowers your esteem for people."
It got me thinkin' a lot, and eventually I got around most of my self esteem problem. However I don't think I'll be doing inflation art as a full time thing. I'm happy just being on the sidelines. XD

I still do sketch it from time to time when all is said and done. I just forgot to upload some here. XD Lemme see about tossing a few to my folder :)

Personally, I'm just glad that you aren't dead. Great to hear that you've been perfecting your talent at illustration, and good luck on your future endeavors.
