Capturing videos from dailymotion

Does anyone know of a good way to capture videos from dailymotion? I want to save them to my hard-disc, partly because they may be taken down but mainly because my computer (or internet or both) is slow and the only way I can watch videos without skipping and stuttering is in windows media player.

All the software I've found that says it can download dailymotion doesn't work... also most of them 'Clipnabber, Keepvid, Freecorder, Replay etc. appear to be the same software from the same developer, just with a different name.

I use Mobile Media Converter http://www.miksoft.net/mobileMediaConverter.htm for capturing from Youtube, and this works fantastically, but it doesn't work for dailymotion.

Thanks in Advance

I use Firefox with the DownloadHelper extension. Not just for YouTube and DailyMotion, but almost every site I run into that uses embedded video.

Another option is the ClickToFlash plugin for Apple's Safari Web browser. (Safari is available for both Mac and Windows.) ClickToFlash prevents Flash elements from loading on a Web page and replaces them with a gray placeholder. Sites that offer MPEG4 video as a Flash alternative—such as YouTube and DailyMotion—will load that video instead.

Then all you have to do is right-click on the video frame and select "Download Video" from the contextual menu.

(Note to Windows users: For some reason, Flash must still be installed on Windows in order for ClickToFlash to work. Mac users can and should forgo installing Flash at all.)

RealPlayer allows for the download of the vids as well.

Works wonders and lets you download all the different formats. So standard def and high def. It's awesome! Especially the bookmark for quick access downloading.

Keepvid doesn't work. I just get an error message saying the system is down. I'll try the one Luther recommended when I get round to it.

I find most downloaders - be they websites or add-ons for your web browser - tend to have a lot of trouble with Dailymotion. I'm forever getting 'error' or 'service temporarily unavailable' messages whenever I try to download videos from the site, no matter what program I use to do it. I think it has something to do with how they embed/encode their videos. If I'm lucky, I may find a downloader that I'll get one or two uses out of, before is suddenly stops working on anything that isn't a Youtube video.

I recommend you use Video Download Capture, it helps me capture videos from dailymotion effectively. Also it can be used to download and save flash videos from other video-sharing websites.

I use J-downloader just copy the link and then past it into J-downloader and it should give you the option to download the video.
