>_> apparently the poll doesn't like the apostrophe ' character...
Inflation and Expansion: How good is it now than it was from 10 years ago.
DAMN YOU APOSTROPHE!
im still relitively new to it
Difficult to say really... my initial thoughts were a bit nostalgic... that the community today is too big and too full of trolls and drama-queens, and that so many of the great artists and writers have gone a bit quiet.
But then, if I think back to what it was really like 10 years ago. There were some good artists, but there were only a handful of them and they were the only ones doing anything so you'd be waiting for months just to see a few new drawings or stories. And there was hardly anyone to speak to. Waiting meant the thrill of seeing something new was better, but given the choice I prefer what we have now, with usually one new pic a week (that appeals to me). And many of the new artists are still pretty good... I speak regularly to lots of people in the inflation community and there are even more women around now who want to RP inflation... which I never did before. and it's inevitable that as a bigger community we will have more vocal trolls and more attention from the critics.
So I voted 'bigger and better'
yes inflation of suits, clothing, bodys and others.
While bigger is not always better, I have noticed an upturn in the amount of content which I consider a good thing.
Who knows, maybe someday inflation fetish will be as well known as foot fetish. Many good and bad things about that.
over the last 5 years or so, i've began to open up to different fetishes and it has really made me understand and accept many things in life that are considered unacceptable by todays society, but are really nothing once you understand them.
i'm happy that i found this site back in 1999 or else, i probably wouldn't be here today as who i am.
thank you bodyinflation.org for being there for me to realize i wasnt insane :D
I'd say the art and whatnot has become a lot higher quality overall and more if it out there. Stories on the other hand have dried up considerably compared to the past.
I agree with carnatic, yet I voted for the second option.
Back then, I would have killed to have a forum like this on this site. Now that we have it...its like too much ramifications of the fetish start showing up, and theres so much, the little things I like get overlooked. Only a handful of people I keep an eye on, and real life is always getting the best of them. 10 years ago we all had less responsibilities.
So I voted for the second one for that reason: reaching the promised land wasn't as great as I thought.
Still, its great to be able to be this open here, and that once in a while theres something interesting here on the forums, or maybe DA.
There are many more people producing content today, so I think that makes it bigger and better. There are more voices and more inspirations.
I have never been one of those "yeah, it sucks now" because while "it's not the same" is true, it's also inevitable. The community evolves or it disappears, so I'm glad to see it has evolved. I blogged about the inevitable comings-and-goings a few months ago; I really do see it as a natural part of what we're all into. Tastes change, but more importantly, lives change. Some folks get what they need (and hopefully offer something in return) and move on. That's okay.
That said, I do think there's too much drama by comparison, and I think that stuff hurts. People too easily take things personally, make assumptions, blow things out of proportion, or generally need to be the center of attention for their own goals, not the goals of the community. I would very much like to see that trend end.
Man, it's been so long since I first started in on trying to be a part of this community I'm curious to all the other long term members.
How well does the community as a whole seem to fare to everyone lately?
Your neighborhood friendly inflation content lurker. ^_^
