LOOKING FOR A BODY INFLATION CONTRIBUTOR FOR A NEW UK SERIES ON E4. PLEASE READ.

Hi there,

My name is Jess and I am researcher for Twofour Broadcast. We are currently working on a new primetime entertainment series called Bodyshockers (working title) for E4.

Twofour is a BAFTA award winning independent broadcast television company. We create over 300 hours a year of award winning factual, features and entertainment programming for the world’s leading broadcasters. Website: http://www.twofour.co.uk/

I am currently looking for  Body Inflators as it links very closely with one of our VT Packages which focuses looking on the ‘naughtier’ side of bodies in our show. I want to find an ‘out and proud’ body inflator who would be happy to have some filming done for Bodyshockers and tell us a little bit about it. Therefore I am posting on Bodyinflation website to see if I can find anyone.

My number is: 01752 727 644

My email is: jess.board@twofour.co.uk

Please contact me if you are interest and would like more information.

Thanks,

Jess Board

I think you should clarify as to whether you're looking for:

  1. people who fantasize about inflation
  2. people who are into inflatable suits or clothes
  3. people who actually inflate their bodies.

These are different categories.

1 & 2 overlap a bit because they're imaginary. These inflators fantasize about bodies blowing up, or they fantasize about their own with a bit of help from an inflatable suit.

The 3rd category is a bit different because it's "real." I don't think many people fall into all three of these categories.

Many of us fall only into category 1.

Let us know what sort of inflation fan you're looking for.

I believe it's #3 she's seeking, and there are folks who visit and comment here who do exactly that.

I might consider that. I've done something similar on another subject, where i appeared anonymously. The only thing that gives me pause is that my own body inflation is not very spectacular compared to some people's.

I feel inclined to ask more about this 'Bodyshockers' show, because the title alone doesn't imply any positive publicity.

That and reality TV can really go die in a ditch, worst concept for public television ever.

I did something similar once on an unrelated subject a few years ago. I personally don't watch television, but i found the people and the company involved to be absolutely fine, friendly and caring, and the end product, though it was sensationalist, still achieved the aim of making people aware of the situation, something which people are usually embarrassed to talk about and feel isolated about. This is the same. However it's portrayed, it will make people who have our fetish but feel isolated and alone that they're not the only freaks out there, as a certain person once put it to me, and in my view that's a good thing. I don't want to be "in the closet" about this.

You have a good point. But I understand with how everyone is feeling since it is hard to explain to people who are not involve with our fetish. But I do agree with what you say. I am actually hoping to make a studio where inflation artists can work together and make a name for themselves. So I do agree in a certain extent.

I wouldn't have a problem explaining this fetish, but there is a difference between how some people who like this fetish would view and explain it than others who have different point of views. Like for example, I like this fetish for it expresses my sexual pleasures, but also it helps expand my imagination in creative ways, like drawing inflation pictures for fun, and making movie scenes in order to bring more imagination and creative aspects in today's society.  As you say, you don't want to be "in the closet" about it, but it takes time for people to understand. It is like the issues with the states issuing homosexuals to marry, or having the Afircan-Americans and Women to vote. I would gladly like to join you in explaining the inflation fetish to people, but still it is a risky business since it is like telling my friends and family that I am a freak and "pervert", which I have been called that way to many times by a lot of people including some girls who I had been or trying to be in relationships with. I think people who are not involved in this fetish are afraid that we as inflation fetish people will come up to every one and start to blow up everyone in their sleep, or in public.  But as I keep trying to explain to my friends who are girls that I wouldn't do that in real life, but in my imagination I would. It is the creative and imagination side I like both sexually and mentally.

There are a lot of little steps between total secrecy and public acknowledgement and acceptance. For some people it might not seem worthwhile to expose oneself to potential ridicule and embarrassment, but at least it's that rather than being beaten up in dark alleys, which is what gays get. I think what we do is helped by lending itself to humour, because it's more likely to be laughed at than simply be 100% abhorrent and disturbing to most people, though there are elements of both probably. Other aspects to this are serendipity - people will more likely look for inflation material if they're into it, so it's like entry to a secret club and you can always ask - well, why were you looking? On TV, people are more likely to stumble upon things. To my mind, that's the most distinctive aspect of television as a medium nowadays, and there are clearly consequences. Another one is loss of control over the material.

Another aspect of this is: how many of us are exhibitionists? I know there are lots of audiences in my stories and i sometimes wonder about that. I think maybe I for one am fairly ostentatious in many aspects of my life, and this fits in with that. In any case, my videos are out there with me talking openly to camera undisguised on them, so i may already have crossed the Rubicon there.

Maybe it's my age, but i also have the impression that a door to acceptability may be closing among sexual subcultures. It's like the mainstream has said to itself, well, we're already having to accept homosexuality and transgender, what are we going to have to swallow next? So it would be good to take that opportunity regardless of what's done with it simply to raise awareness, or it might be too late.

Well she can't be to interested in finding people if she doesn't even take the time to respond to her own thread lol. But ya for the most part what you find on here are people who are strictly into the fantasy side of things very few actual inflators or gainers.

I agree to that part.

Irrespective of the people that come here, I consider number 3 in pjoker's list to be a completely separate fetish than what I have. Sorry if I sound douche baggy, but I see no correlation between both things.
