I'm actually on the other side of the coin in terms of my opinion on the quality of this inflation. I think it's too fast, the end result is mediocre, and the girl inflating is a bit too old and not that attractive for my liking.
Although hey, it's something for someone at least.
Interesting.
The lady quickly becomes a huge pool ball. A little too quick, but it gives the impression of inflation. The effect is good. The clothes bulge a bit before she bursts into the big ball. The expansion sound is nice but short as the inflation itself.
I think is a good find :)

I also tend to be more towards the side of using oldschool props, but remembering some recent discussions of the possibilities of digital effects, I think this is a good example of a great looking computer generated digital effect.
