Safety Tips From Spacegirl Molly!

Hi, Space Cadettes! Spacegirl Molly here with another safety tip!

Loss of cabin pressure during lift-off is one of the hazards of space flight. That's why you should always remember to fully inflate your flight suit before blasting off- because when blown up to full pressure, it will contain enough air for you to breathe normally for at least three minutes in the event  of an emergency like a blown canopy seal or an oxygen system malfunction. In addition, it will comfortably cushion you against the shock of main booster ignition and first stage separation.

In fact, you'll notice that most experienced spacegirls like me leave our suits pumped up whenever we are in a part of the ship that is not protected by a double-door air lock. So remember- Spacegirl Molly says for maximum comfort and security, pump that suit up and leave it that way until you exit the pilot's station!
