If you are going ahead with this, I hope you've taken adequate safety precautions such as giving someone else your contact information, and the information about where you're going and contact information of who you're staying with and who you're meeting. I would also ask someone to at least keep in touch with you once a day, especially if you're meeting someone you've never met before. Always meet someone you don't know in a public place to chat first, and if you are suspicious at all, make your excuses and leave, find somewhere that you know there will be a lot of people around who can help if he follows you, train station, pub, etc.
