Slue Foot Sue: Not exactly Inflation, but very neat indeed!

Googling, I found many interesting Slue Foot Sue animated gifs.

She is one of the main characters in the cartoon "Pecos Bill". This cartoon was released in 1948 with other 6 cartoons, which together form a feature film called "Melody Time"(I checked all this at the Wikipedia).

I'll explain what I remember that happened in the cartoon, putting some gifs inbetween. So here I go:

.
.
The main character is a cowboy called Pecos Bill, and his best friend is his horse.

.
.
One day, this Slue Foot Sue character appears, and Bill falls in love with her

But there's one problem nobody notices: Bill's horse is hugely jealous of her, because she interferes with the companionship with his owner.
.
.
.
Further into the story, for whatever reason the lady decides to ride Bill's horse. Of course the four-footed isn't very happy with this.
That day, Sue put this springy thing inside her clothes. I think it was used back in the day to shape the female figure:

So here we already have some clothes stuffing and some bouncing, which might remind us a little about inflation, even if it isn't really it.
.
.
.
Alright. Back to the story...
.
.
.
So, everything seemed to be going fine for our heroine.

She rode the animal, and even though it was very loose and wild, she seemed to be handling it very well, with no difficulty at all.

But they reach a point in which the horse gets really mad, and things start to get a little out of control for our lovely lady.

When she falls off our crazy buddy and lands on the floor, that springety sprung gadget she has at her waist makes her bounce back

into the air. Each time she reaches the ground, a violent impact makes her go up even higher. This keeps going on until the point she

doesn't come back, and we "never hear anything about her ever again."
.
.
.
.

So that's it. It's amazing! You gotta watch the cartoon!

Special thanks to those who took the time to make these gifs, though I have no idea who they are.

I've read in a page called Disney-Wiki that "It is said that she(Slue Foot Sue) was drawn to look like Olivia de Havilland."

So to compare...

... And talking about vintage and ballooning, take a look at this amazing piece by an artist called Elvgren...

I'm a big fan of this vintage stuff. You can clearly see the influence in my "Balloony Marta" character: Click to see a Marta one-page comic

Maybe I went a little off topic here with this post, but I think can be of great inspiration.

Wow!  What a blast from the past!  I remember seeing this cartoon when I was little and I think I do remember finding it fascinating but not understanding why.  That was probably the closest thing to butt inflation I had seen at that point, and maybe inflation fans can pick up an idea or two from the way she swings and bounces that thing around.  The over-the-top blatant way she tries to draw attention to her butt is amazing for an animated feature.  The butt inflation writer known as biz-mark is the only one I can think of who puts that much shaking and bouncing action into his expansion scenes.

Reggae

Here in Italy this cartoon was never aired, but I think that i would loved the Lady even if inflation is not involved!

Talking about old cartoons, I'm quite sure that one of my first loved "inflated lady" was the girl in the cartoon series WOWSER, showed every morning when I was a child.

I don't think it aired here either.

"Old school" cartoons are always a good nostalgia trip...inflation or not.

Those of you who volunteered to be injected with praying mantis DNA, I've got some good news and some bad news. Bad news is we're postponing those tests indefinitely. Good news is we've got a much better test for you: fighting an army of mantis men.

I still have my VSH copy of Melody Time and I love to go back to rewatch the Slue Foot Sue seens

Cool MrDarkHeart69! :-)

Also, I'm 3 years late, but I appreciated your comments too Wren, Reggae, and Blue_Eyes. I read them back then, but guess didn't say anything just to let comments accumulate, and thread just slipped away.
