Not sure if anybody has ever thought about this, and I want everybody to know that I don't think of ever trying this ever in my life honestly, but I'm just curious what everybody has to say about this, what does everybody think of infusing lots of saline into the abdomen cavity? Kinda like the disease Ascites, lots of fluid in the abdomen, makes it very distended and looks like a giant pregnant belly full of water, kinda hot, what do you guys think? safe? or not?
Crazy idea on belly inflation?
Yeah the fibrous tissue wouldn't be fun whatsoever, but do you think its possible to achieve a very full pregnant looking belly with just lots of saline infused to the cavity?
It would be, but it would be a very bad idea.
It would be, but it would be a very bad idea.
Yeah true true, I just think it'll be awesome to try it but obviously the dangers are out to the roof. It all started when I found out about Ascites, fluid in the abdomen, so I thought if people are doing saline breast inflation and scrotal inflation, what about belly saline inflation? haha.
But would that mean you'd have to use a needle to pierce through the skin?
Yeah I was thinking using a needle to pierce through the skin to reach the cavity then start infusing saline into it to inflate the abdomen.
Lots of chat here about "real" inflation- seems really risky to me, blowing air *for reals* into your body- but there's an alternative:
If you make yourself a fatsuit (balloons, polyester fiberfill, spandex, etc.) and then wear over it a very, very tight stretchy garment (like a spanx slimmer or an all-in-one bar and girdle combo) it squeezes down on you and furnishes the sensation of straining against the elastic as if you were ready to burst. This, plus some bag-rebreathing to get just slightly short on air, pushes me over the top every time. No needles or enemas or aquarium pumps or burst membranes or sepsis. Only risk comes from the bag, but skill and practice remove the overt hazards there. -Latecomer
Normal saline (0.9% NaCl) is used during various abdominal surgical interventions and during peritoneal dialysis to rinse the peritoneal cavity. Although no clear clinical evidence exists for the bioincompatibility of normal saline, various experimental studies have suggested that 0.9% NaCl solution can initiate fibrosis of peritoneum.
In other words. Go for it as long as you don't mind building up excess fiberous tissues, having them harden and possibly not function properly (reducing the fluid flow through the effected area)
Those of you who volunteered to be injected with praying mantis DNA, I've got some good news and some bad news. Bad news is we're postponing those tests indefinitely. Good news is we've got a much better test for you: fighting an army of mantis men.
