Just a heads up that Hot in Cleveland, a show on TV Land, will be airing an animated episode tonight in which one of the characters will be inflated. They have a preview of the episode posted on their facebook page, and I have also linked to an article talking about the episode. It probably won't be much, but I'm still excited!

Judging by the preview/screenshot, it's going to be one of the girls going through Breast/belly expansion. Eh, looks ok, but I'd much prefer full body. Considering they are trying to parody Willy Wonka with 4 girls and won't have a blueberry scene, that's kind of disappointing. Unless...

That description means she will undergo blueberry inflation also. Unless the whole butt/breast thing is the only thing, which I have a bad feeling it will be. (Also, missing the mark on the parody of that blueberry scene if they are trying to do so)

Sooo did anyone actually catch the episode last night? (I don't have cable)
I recorded it just for the inflation and it was ok! Quick breast and butt inflation then a few references to how she became a balloon. Afterwards there was a height increase, slight breast enhancement with dumbing down (bimbofication?) and an age regression sequence. Turned it off afterwards. There was no blueberry inflation for those who were hoping for it though. She just kinda floated around after.
Where the hell did the writers think that "violet beauregarde" was the same thing as being turned into a bimbo? At what point in the movie did Violet's butt and boobs blow up and she floated around like a balloon? I mean did they even see the damn movie?
Way to miss the whole point of a Willy Wonka parody *smh*

I enjoyed this one quite a bit, probably because it perfectly fits one of the more common structures for inflation stories. A woman tries to enhance her figure by inflating herself, something goes wrong, and she winds up much bigger than intended. Classic.
Pet peeve: She's being filled with a lighter-than-air gas. But when she first starts to inflate she says, "This is wonderful! My back hurts already!" I was unreasonably annoyed by that bit.
As for those who think they missed the point, I'm not sure that they did. Charlie and the Chocolate factory was all about the children's character flaws leading them to unpleasant fates, and that theme was preserved here.
Whether or not Joy's experience was Beauregarde-esque is a matter of interpretation. The distinctions between various forms of inflation aren't nearly as important to non-fetishists. Comeuppance via inflation, be it with juice or gas, was what was important to them.

It's not bad, but they shouldn't have said a "Violet Beauregarde-esque “procedure”. It was parodying the lifting gas scene for one, and it had nothing to do with Violet because it wasn't blueberry inflation. Just regular breast/butt inflation. Them associated Violet as a general inflation mascot is false advertisement. Its blueberry inflation she represents, not breast/butt.
Let's be perfectly fair though. We can probably guess that the writers aren't in the same camp as us when it comes to this, so there's room for mistakes.
Yeah. But its still false advertising. It was executed well, but it wasnt what was exactly described. But hey, there are still other franchises that might get it right in the end.
You've really got the put this in perspective. When was the last time a major US program made an inflation joke? Yeah, I couldn't remember either.
It wasn't a blueberry inflation, but it was an inflation. I got my no-money's worth.
Ive only seen a few shows reference it, but very briefly. And for what we got, its still nice that they can put inflation on TV to an extent.
You know, they werent trying to please you...you do get that, right?
