Full body, and its double meaning.

So I'm avid role player, and I noticed how full body to some, it has two definitions. The more accepted version being spherical inflation, the other is like an exaggerated blow up doll, maybe to blimpish proportions. I think we need to clear the air and separate the two terms. I am not sure what you might call the latter term is all.

From a derpy inflator who runs into this conundrum a lot. X3

I usually use spherical and full-body inflation as the same meaning but I think full-body should be used to specifically refer to the latter, since "full-body" would not only imply the inflation of the belly but also the arms, legs, breasts and sometimes head. Spherical inflation should use its own definition, even though so many just call it full-body, since it's a kind of belly inflation (though takes up the whole torso, not just the belly). I'm not gold with definitions, to me everything has several, but I suppose that's my take on full-body/spherical inflation.

We are not dealing with fundamental differences here.  Just like "expansion" is an umbrella term for inflation, weight gain, pregnancy, BE, etc., "full body inflation" can certainly be an umbrella term as well.  After all, spherical inflation is, at its very core, the inflation of one's full body.

I'd be ok with defining them as:

Full body inflation - the inflation of all of one's body parts (limbs, belly, butt, chest, etc.).  May or may not involve becoming spherical.

Full body spherical inflation - same as above, but definitely resulting in spherical shape.

Calling it "full body spherical" drives home the point that one's entire body inflated into a sphere, instead of just someone's belly inflating to the point that it overtook the rest of them.

I'm with you on this one. Just like in so many scientific naming conventions, its just easier to use generic and specific terminology when aplicable. I for one would hold that this communtiy would be the authority on inflation naming conventions.

Just a little more. You can take it...I hope...

Perhaps this is just bragging, but being the largest and oldest website (that I know of anyways) that's about body inflation, I think we get authoritah on stuffs like that. I of course can't exactly be included in that "we" part, as I really only have been here for maybe a year or so, with a few stalkings over the previous years before I had an account.

...but yeah, you make a terrific point.

(Not on here too often, replies might be slow.)

Standards of names depend on worlds, I'm afraid. And we'll stumble into multiple meanings thanks to the gift of diversity.

Firstly, you have to choose a world - a real one, or one of imaginary. And inside it you can have standards.
