Questions from Someone Completely New to Belly Inflation

Hello everyone, I'm pretty new to this, and I hope this is the right place for this.

Backstory:
I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years and he's just revealed his belly inflation fetish to me this past week. I had no idea inflation fetishes were a thing until he told me, but when he did, my first thought was how fun and interesting it'd be to incorporate it into our sex life. So I told him I was down to try it. So the first night I basically just ate quite a bit and pushed my tummy out with muscles. We were going to try Mentos and seltzer water which resulted in him giving me the Heimlich maneuver when I choked on a Mento. I also tried chugging water with an electrolyte mix. That worked alright, but we're mainly interested in starting anal inflation, probably with water to start. We've basically spent the past week doing research together and have been getting a lot of conflicting information about things and I'd just like some clarification from those of you who have inflation experience.

TL;DR/Questions:

  1. How long can you hold non-isotonic water in your intestines before it becomes dangerous?
  2. How long with isotonic water?
  3. Do you get stretch marks or saggy belly skin from inflating often?
  4. We're thinking about getting one of those shower enema things. Any recommended products along those lines, or any methods you're able to get really big on?
  5. Best water method if you want to keep the belly long enough to have sex?

We're aware there are risks when getting into real inflation, and we know we'll have to pace ourselves before we see major results. We're just trying to get information on how to do this right so we can be as safe as possible.

Forum member and frequent poster Another Canadian Guy has mad an FAQ that answers a lot of questions. It may not answer all of yours, but it should be a decent help. Here:

Just a little more. You can take it...I hope...

Thanks BalloonInflator!

First off, welcome to the forums! I've been practicing body inflation for about 6 years, so while I'm not a doctor, I can say that I have lots of research and first hand experience on the matter.

Now, to answer those questions

1: The issue with non-isotonic water (plain water) isn't so much retention time (though that plays an important role), but rather the volume. Because the large intestines absorbs water very rapidly, you can get water intoxication. Fortuanetly, that usually only happens if you try to retain more than two litres for more than 15 minutes or so, although, the more you hold the lower the safety timeframe.

2: Indefinetly. Isotonic water is water that matches the sodium gradient of your body, so in the large intestines the water is neither absorbed into the body nor is any taken out. This is the most prefered method of anal inflation, at least for me, as it's the most comfortable and safe: No damage or irritation will happen from this, and you can hold it without fear of intoxication or damage. (You can add a teaspoon of salt to each quart/litre of water to make it isotonic. Non-iodized Sea Salt if possible)

3: Well, to be honest, I don't have any concrete answers for that, nor have I been able to find any. A key thing to remember is that stretch marks can also be genetic. Generally, if compared with, say competitive eaters, belly distention doesn't usually cause stretch marks unless it's distended for a really long time (at least a week). That's not a guarantee it won't cause stretch marks, but I highly doubt you will get stretch marks from the first few times. You can optionally put coconut oil or other skin oils on your belly to help prevent them, or so I've heard (Pregnant women swear by it).

4: I wouldn't reccomend the shower enema system unless your using it for small amounts, because, again, water intoxication can become an issue. What you want to do is get an enema kit, preferably made of silicone. I find them to be the most relaxing way (I haven't tried the shower system though), for a couple of reasons.

  1. You can fill it with any solution
  2. The pressure is set to safe limits, so you can't over inflate or over pressurize (needs to be at a set height)
  3. You can watch the bag deflate, which I think your boyfriend (and you) might enjoy.
  4. No temperature fluctuations. Depending on where you live, the temperature in a shower might spike, and can end up shooting hot water into your body. That can be a serious issue that can cause colitis and possibly death if not treated. Most shower systems are relatively stable and don't do that, but it still is a risk regardless.

5: Definitely anal. You can keep the water in without absorbing it and having to pee. You can also hold the most amount, I find 4 is about my limit (obviously don't expect to get big at first, it wll take a couple of weeks to train your body to start developing those muscles for retention and stretching). Do keep in mind that retaining it can be a bit hard to do, especially starting off, but there are tools you can use like a double balloon rectal catheder. That device works by inserting it into your rectum, and inflating the two balloons on it to make a sort of seal for the anus so that you not only won't leak, but you can't leak, especially during more heavy sessions. It also has the extra benefit of prostate stimulation due to it filling the rectum ;) .  The issue is that starting off, this stuff can cost a little bit of money ($20 for the enema kit, $80 for the balloon catheder) and while I think it's completely worth it, it is a lot of money to invest in.

Optionally, you can also inflate yourselves using an aquarium pump, as that will slowly fill your colon and large intestines up with air. I find this more uncomfortable than water, but it's easier to clean up and you don't have to worry about leaks. It can be dangerous as there is no safety measures with the device, but the flow is so slow that you'd actually have to physically push past your limit to risk a rupture, which, believe me, you'll know what your limit is. (If you do plan on trying this, you may hit points where your/his body will feel full right away starting off. Just stop for a second, let the intestines open up, and you should be able to continue. There will be a point that the tightness feeling wont pass anymore, but you got a long ways before you hit that, like minutes of inflation)

Now, for things I don't reccomend:

  1. Drinking lots of water. Despite drinking isotonic water, things like sodium and water can still get absorbed into the body, and in mass amounts it's not such a good idea.
  2. Swallowing air. This is a completely safe thing to practice and enjoy, but it takes a while for the air to reach your abdominal areas, and unfortuanetly too much air will be stuck in the small intestines, causing bloating and can sometimes be a bit painful if you try to move like that. Plus, getting the air out can take anywhere from a few hours to a day, where as if you inflate anally, the air just stays in your large intestine and there is no uncomfortable bloating feeling, along with a much faster deflation.
  3. Fast water enema: A lot of people sometimes take their showers and push it into their anus to get a fill that way, but I really dont reccomend it for not just the above reasons, but due to the absurd amount of pressure. The intestines can safely hold about 1 PSI of water, but a shower outputs water at around 22 PSI or faster. If you get experience, you can perhaps try it down the road, but I don't recommend it myself and I find it a bit nauseating anyways.

And I think that about does it for now! You can get an enema kit in a few stores, I found mine in a walmart, but if you got the cash I recommend getting a silicone one as they are easier to wash and won't leach rubber chemicals if you use it for years. If you use the rubber kit for like less than three years, then its probably gonna still be good to use.

Please let me know if you have any other questions, either on here or through a private message, and I'd be happy to help you out more if I can. Glad you guys played it safe and asked around for info.
