English?

I'm fascinated with the way English languages combines words:

ladybird (lady + bird)
ladybug (lady + bug)
ladybeetle (lady + beatle)

Now, inflation-wise, what kind of words can come to mind?

Ladyball?
Girlberry?
Bubblelass?
...

Please feel free to throw your ideas here

Also, I'd be grateful for advice, if any of these words feels abusive to you

Thanks! ^_^

Well, English doesn't really create compounds much, not compared to say, German. The examples of words such as ladybird and football only became compound over time and through familiarity. There is some pretty recent literature that still refers to these as a lady bird or lady-bird... or foot-ball.  There are lots of cases where it hasn't happened despite pairs of words being well established nouns, such as shopping centre, or capital city... German meanwhile, forms compunds relatively quickly. Eine Aufgepumptfrau anyone?
