Most of my self-inflation fantasies end with a bang, so I think it's safe to say I'm fond of it, provided it isn't gorey.
I'm not much into forced inflation myself. With a few exceptions, my self-inflation fantasies tend to involve some manipulative (and often vaguely dom-ish) woman teasing or taunting me into puffing myself up like a balloon, goading me into blowing up bigger and bigger, until I ultimately over-inflate and explode. Girls with intense eyes seem to have a particularly strong effect on me, at least where those sort of scenarios are concerned.
Occasionally, the girl decides to blow me up herself, via her own lungpower - usually seeking to bring me to my limit in as few breaths as possible. This often forces her to inhale so deeply that she inflates rather large herself (or parts of her do) whenever she takes a breath. In some cases, this results in mutual detonation, with the girl taking in such an enormous breath that she bursts - often a split-second before I do.

In light of the clarification, I do enjoy male inflation, whether or not it ends in popping or bursting. As sexy and beautiful female inflation can be, after a while, something different is appreciated. The male physique is a welcome change, and just because they don't have as many outstanding inflatable parts doesn't mean it isn't fun to imagine their process of expansion.

I'm not really that big of a fan towards popping myself, but male inflation certainly isn't against my books. While it's a sexual fetish for me (and being heterosexual), there's still the appealing aspect of inflation itself happening on a victim. My mind finally started to generate something not so plain and over-used.
Scenario:
A guy tries to approach a girl in the street and asks if she has a boyfriend.
She explains, that she had, but he popped.
He's puzzled and can't believe it's possible. So one demonstration is better then hundred explanations.
I've always been fond of scenarios where a girl essentially dares a guy to prove himself worthy of her, or back-up his boasting, by inflating himself bigger than some vaguely defined target (bigger than her last boyfriend, bigger than the blimp she saw at the fair, big enough to fill a room, bigger than HER, etc.). Of course, no matter how much he huffs and puffs, it's never big ENOUGH for her. She continues to goad or taunt him along, until he either over-inflates and bursts, or else becomes so full and turgid he's basically helpless, at which point she finishes him off herself with one massive, shirt-straining breath of her own.
I'm also fond of scenarios where the girl can actually cause the guy to lose control of his own inflation by getting him too turned-on or aroused. To this end, she teases him sexually while goading him into inflating for her (either for the previously mentioned reasons, or some other purpose); doing a striptease, or even inflating her own curves. His passion/libido eventually becomes so inflamed that he can't stop growing, ballooning out of control until he explodes (perhaps orgasmically?).
Did anyone said about teasing overinflated one with sharp pins, nails, heels and so on? Then I'll say, it's very hot.
Also, one more thing. I like teasing skinny boy into inflation because hot girl says he needs to get pumped. At first his muscles inflate, but this all gets out of (his) control quite soon.

My imagination started to work in that direction, so one more scenario:
A girl throws a birthday party, there are her boyfriend and two her friends with their boyfriends too. Names are not important, but just to refer them let they be Sue(has birthday) and Mike, Marie with Lars, Josie with Jake.
